Pick the best

Employing the services of a professional fence installation team will allow you to ensure that the fence of your choosing is installed quickly and efficiently. Of course, you can look up some videos on how to install a fence online, but doing the actual job will take a great deal of time, effort, and money as you'll have to buy all the materials. Your back and hands definitely won’t thank you for this as installing a fence of any kind is a strenuous exercise.
  • Bark will find you fence installation specialists who will help you design a fence that will complement your house perfectly and install it quickly. A good fence will secure your property and reduce the risk of theft and vandalism, so it’s prudent to install is as fast as possible.
  • Fence installation teams understand how difficult it might be for non-professionals to choose the best kind of fencing for their property. Therefore, they will explain the differences between an aluminum fence and the pieces made from other materials. When you understand the pros and cons of each type, you will be able to choose the best type of fence for you.
  • Bark can source fence installation service providers who will develop a fencing plan for your property based on your personal requirements as well as budget. Be sure to tell the contractor whether you want to have a privacy fence or something that will be purely decorative. The costs of building a fence depend on the materials used and complexity of the design, so try to find a compromise between the fence design of your dreams and a construction that you can afford.

What do you love most about your job?

There are good and bad things about owning a small sawmill in a village, as the owner it can be very stressful and also very fore filling.
Supplying the trade and public is great, people are usually very friendly and always happy with my service and the quality of the timber, I am always happy to provide a cutting and bespoke service, I have made a variety of cabins, fence panels, trellis, seating, tables and much more.
I am always happy to talk to customers about their needs.

What inspired you to start your own business?

The lack of choice within the timber business, meaning, I got constantly frustrated when going in timber merchants and being told I have to choose what they had in stock and they didn't provide a cutting service. so when the last owner was thinking of shutting down I ask if I could buy the business from him and he agreed. He also taught me all he learnt over his last 30 years of running a sawmill, which was very kind of him. so now you can come to my mill and have what you want not what I have, and if I can't help I will try and forward you onto someone who can.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am the only Mill in this area that cuts Larch on site from the log, also we manufacture Larch fence panels, trellis, sleepers, and bespoke sheds and timber buildings. Larch is such a top quality timber for all your landscaping needs. If I haven't got it in stock I am more than happy to cut it for you.So why not pop over and take a look at what we do here at Cottenham Sawmills.
