I've had counselling in the past but didn't really respond to it too well, however I've definitely found it alot more rewarding when starting my sessions with Jayne. The sessions are always well organised, punctual and relaxed, which I feel is important when it comes to discussing quite personal topics. My sessions are from a video call, which initially I wasn't too sure on, however once engaging in conversation it really doesn't feel too much different than being in the same room as someone.Jayne has a wide range of skills for different styles of counselling ... Obviously this depends on what type of therapy you'd like to receive, so she does offer other options to suit the individuals needs. I'd definitely recommend Jaynes practice to anyone, but especially to those who feel a little uncertain when it comes to opening up, as this is something I found to come fairly naturally with our sessions.

I'm a mature lady, I had never been to a spa or had massage before as I'm abit shy over my body and suffer anxiety. Nikki made me feel very at ease, it feels like I've known her years, I had aromatherapy that Nikki recommended and she hand made me a blend that smelt gorgeous. My body felt great after and I felt more relaxed and calm in myself, she even gave me some of the oil to take home to use when I feel anxious. I go twice a month when I can

Just imagine what it would be like to be free of the limitations of the past..... What difference would that make to your day...your life? What would you be able to do that you have, until now, been stopping yourself from even daring to think about? This is what hypnotherapy focuses on. The problem is not what should be getting all your attention. It has occupied your thoughts for this long and has that style of thinking made it better?

I had a problem with my weight for a long time. I'd tried Weight Watchers and all that kind of thing and had lost weight but never kept it off and it was always a struggle with the thoughts in my head telling me to eat rubbish. A friend of mine recommended seeing richard at Focused HYpnosis because he had helped her to stop smoking and she said it was worth a try.
I am SO glad that I called him! My life has really changed as a result of hypnosis. I don't fight against myself (and lose!) any more. I am slimmer but I am definitely NOT on a diet. I eat a mixture of things and generally I eat healthily and the right amount for me. Sometimes I have less healthy stuff but it is a lot less often.
The biggest benefit is that the battle in my head is one that I don't really have any more. There is no fight or struggle, just me being in control of my life for the first time in ages.
I would definitely recommend seeing Richard if you want to change something in your life.

When my husband was training to become a hypnotherapist all those years ago he used me as his number one practice subject. I found it all very relaxing. However the most profound thing that Rich helped me with was my abject fear of the dentist and needles in general. Within about 2 sessions I had completely over come this fear and was able to go to the dentist happily and any time I had an injection was a complete breeze.

People ask me: What does a Sanomentologist do? I basically mediate between the conscious and unconscious mind so they both work together and understand they are working towards the same goal. For instance, when you were younger, you nearly fell off something high. Your unconscious mind then programmed itself to say that anything high is dangerous and that you need to be careful - but it created such a tight protection programme that you actually developed a fear of heights even if you are in a harness or behind protective glass.

I love to see people find their solutions. It's a feeling I can not describe.
I worked with several agencies from 2008. However, time restrictions and the norrow criteria in which you can work was not for me. If someone approaches me, for Bereavement for example, if that then turns into a different issue I don't turn them away. I pride myself on being able to adapt to the clients needs.
I am a down to earth counsellor and you should feel free to express yourself 'as it is' .
I have had my own issues and turned them around. For this reason I can see things from your point of view easily. I am extremely honest, which is vital in counselling. I do NOT hide behind my professional experience. Instead I use it for YOUR benefit.
I am a remote counsellor. This puts no barriers to distance.
"It's more comfortable than I thought ". As been the response from more than one client.
I offer 1/2hr free so you can get a feel for it and see if you want to work with me. Want to try it?

How much do Therapists cost?
This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.
This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.
Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.
How do I find the right Therapist?
You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.
It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.
How many sessions of Therapy will I need?
Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.
You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.
It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.
What should I look for in a Therapist?
Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.
You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.
What are the benefits of Therapy?
Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.
Can I get a Therapist online?
Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
