Music Man

West Yorkshire

I'm a professional guitar tutor based in Leeds and I have been playing for over 25 years. I have a degree in creative music technology and also work as a home based guitar technician. I teach all levels and styles and all I ask is that students are keen to learn and dedicate time to practice between lessons. I charge £20 per hour or £15 for 45 minutes. I view each student as individually unique and promise to help you achieve your musical goals. Together we can improve your learning and playing experience so that you can see yourself making progress. I am very flexible in terms of availability as this is my full time job. I am happy to travel or host - whatever is good for you. If you are interested in realising your potential on the guitar and improving your knowledge of music theory then I would love to hear from you. All the best on your musical journey :-)

What do you love most about your job?

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a pupil grasp a concept or develop their technique to the point that they know they have improved. Music is so enjoyable because every person has their own ideas and interpretations of it and it always remains exciting!

What inspired you to start your own business?

After many years balancing a full time job in 3rd line IT support with my love of teaching and music, I decided to go completely full time with my Guitar teaching and Guitar Technician services. I enjoy meeting new pupils and watching their expressive skills develop over time. I have a great deal of pride and respect for pupils who are really committed and dedicated to playing the guitar.

Why should our clients choose you?

As well as my passion for music and teaching I am also a very friendly and accommodating person who is easy to talk to and treats each pupil as an individual. I like to find out why music is important to each pupil. I do not just turn up each week with a book of scales and a metronome! If you choose my services you will find my lessons, fun, insightful and worthwhile. I know guitar lessons are not cheap but my prices are very reasonable within the industry and you have my word that each one will be valuable and will give you meaningful work to practice between lessons.
