Anna is such an amazing artist! Her vibrant personality shines through her performance and she has such a presence on stage. Her voice is sublime and she excels in different music registers. She gave us a fabulous, exclusive performance in a private members club, and every single person was enthused with her vibrant energy and real presence and positive vibe. She sang a variety of songs - covers and her own, and the audience sang along too.
Many many thanks for such a fantastic evening for us all, and looking forward to your next performance with us!
Hello, my name is Stepan, I'm 32 and I offer guitar lessons. I've graduated with honours from conservatory in Pardubice, Czech Republic (classical guitar) and Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia (classical guitar). I won the prestigeous Guitarreando competition in 2002 and few more competitions with my band PerKelt. I teach guitar playing for 15 years, mostly on art schools and private lessons.
Stepan is an incredible teacher. Lessons are fun, geared towards what I want to learn and I always feel like I have learnt something new or useful. He focuses not only on things I like, but is also able to focus on techniques and, importantly, explain why things need to be done a certain way in a manner that is easy to understand and implement. I love lessons with Stepan and have been his student for the past 4 years.

Minerva has exceeded all my expectations. Jorge, the tutor is outstanding, knowledgeable and professional. My husband and I could not be happier. The lessons are interesting and effective and we receive a detailed report at the end of each lesson. But the best thing is that my son is excited and he can't wait to make his next English lesson. Thank you so much for the wonderful work you are doing with my son. I really recommend Minerva.

Hear from a professional
What’s the main reason people take up the guitar?
Well, that depends entirely on the person. Our lessons are open to everyone, from beginners to advanced players and with no age limits. Some people are wanting to be the next Hendrix or Clapton. Others are looking to hone their skills specifically on acoustic, electric or bass. Some of my students are really into certain styles and need coaching on that. We’ve given jazz guitar lessons, metal guitar lesson, flamenco guitar lessons and even gypsy jazz lessons! London is a great place to find people who want to learn some of the more abstract styles.
Do your students need to provide any equipment?
A guitar would be helpful! We ask all our students to provide their own instrument – although we can lend them a bass if they need it. Don’t worry if you’re not rocking a vintage Fender Stratocaster though, as we can teach you to play no matter what guitar you have. Aside from that, we’ve got enough plectrums, capos and amps for everyone. We also keep enough spare nylon, steel and flat strings for any breakages that might happen during your lessons. Finally, we have plenty of songbooks with guitar tabs for those wanting to learn to read or write music.
What skills do you teach?
We’ve taught a whole range of skills and techniques across a variety of genres. Some people just need help with basic chords – you need those barre and power chords nailed to get anywhere as a guitarist. Others want to build on their strumming and picking. Very few people are Dick Dale the first time they touch a guitar. Those tremolo picking skills don’t come out of thin air! The key is not to feel self-conscious. If playing guitar is simply a hobby, or if you want to really make something out of it, we cater our classes entirely around what you’re looking to get out of them.
