What do you love most about your job?

I am particularly fond of using systems; it helps our users achieve more. More to the point, by using a systematic approach to learning, particularly English Language and Literature, which includes planning, sampling and applying (P.S.A.) Our students improve rapidly as they better understand the nature of their academic problems, and, better still, are given a structured method to improve their work. Moreover, as this approach is applied to Mathematics and Science students - once again - achieve high scores. Thus, our users exceed expectations which brings a smile to their faces and ours!

What inspired you to start your own business?

My passion for supporting the educational development of the next generation started over 10 years ago when the idea of CES formulated in my mind. Helping parents to understand the school system and providing support for them and their children is the foundation of CES. 90% of our parents and foster carers have come to us not understanding what is meant by a level grade. This has caused a stumbling block for students’ educational progress. Past students of CES have not only exceeded expectations, they have changed their career direction to fulfil their new-found abilities.

My passion is to offer a service which reaches the wider community in a sensitive way, so young people in education and returning to education can feel supported in their attempts to gain the necessary qualifications to higher education and employment. Bearing in mind the my passion and the levels of staff commitment, our students are uniquely placed to gain their educational and vocational goals: they learn, others can only provide then with educational tools but they have to put them into operation to gain success.
