Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, frustrated or dis-empowered are clear signs that it's time to do something different. You are not bringing your best self to your work. That’s where I can help. I can help you find new ways of working and new ways of being that bring great results to you and those around you. In our heart of hearts and the deepest level of our being, we often know what we need to do but we have trained ourselves to ignore the messages and rely on our heads. A big mistake! The head brain is only one of three brains and it is only when we bring the heart brain and gut brain into play that we become truly connected to our values and ambitions, motivations and sense of self. Not only that but we become more aware of our emotions and the effect they are having on our ability to lead ourselves and others. Check out this quote by Jim Rohn. “The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humour, but without folly.” If this is leadership then your three brains had better be engaged! The word here is “coherence”; all three brains are aligned and working together and you are operating from a state of calm alertness. I combine established coaching practices with the latest in multi-braining techniques to give you that coherence and as a result: Clarity: who you are, what you want from work and life and how to get there Courage: to define success on your terms, to take action and trust your instincts, step out of your comfort zone to grow in confidence and self belief Commitment: develop the motivation and resilience to honour your rediscovered values and talents, to continue learning and developing your skills and knowledge whilst keeping a clear focus on your end goal. Interested? I offer a free chemistry call so you can find out how I work and if we should work together. What do you love most about your job?

I love seeing people progress and develop when they take responsibility for their own careers. I take great joy in seeing clients grow in confidence and self belief. I am always developing and learning and feel that it is important to encourage others to understand more about their motivations and how they interact with others. This way they can get most out of their working life and earn their money doing something which most fulfils them and fits with their values and lifestyle. I believe in finding your best self so you can do your best work.

What inspired you to start your own business?

At key moments in my career, professional coaching helped me progress by building my confidence and trust in my own capabilities, and then helping me take action and leave the relative safety of permanent employment for contracting. Having seen the benefits of coaching on my own career, I now coach people like you to achieve greater clarity around what you want from work; to understand your motivators and values and develop a sense of self so that you can find the role or shape your business to best fit with your skills and aspirations.

Why should our clients choose you?

I work with humour, drive and sensitivity. Guided by my values of honesty, humour and humanity, I combine 25 years of work experience with NLP and coaching to help you transition into new ways of working. I can help you reduce stress levels, increase resilience and gain clarity on your future options and what is really on here.

For example, this client is now in his third year running a consultancy business which gives him the variety and challenge he wanted with the flexibility for family time which was an important motivator for him; "Overall, I found the process with Shirley to be very helpful, supportive and insightful. At my first session, I knew partly what I didn’t want from a job/career, but was unclear on what I did want. The sessions provided a platform to discuss my thoughts, ideas and jumbled views in a supportive, professional and totally confidential environment. I was at ease from the first few minutes and knew I could talk in total confidence and trust".

This client was struggling with lack of confidence and fear of success and overwhelm which was preventing him taking his business forwards; “I needed a kickstart to help me move forward with a second business, which had been languishing for a little while. In a couple of sessions, Shirley helped me to find some focus and unblock some of the barriers which had been holding me back. She helped me work on improving my confidence as well as making some key business decisions. Her insightful approach was of great benefit and I would definitely recommend her if you need help getting unstuck in your career or business”.

This corporate client was adjusting to a new organisational culture and a challenging management style. I helped her find fresh perpectives on her situation so she could find new strategies to deal with the everyday challenges of new environment and maintain confidence in herself and her abilities. "Shirley is an intelligent and thoughtful professional coach. She's inquisitive and rather than taking a standard "top down" / standard questions approach, her methods are more engaging and collaborative. Shirley has a substantial corporate experience and is versed in that world's inherent politics, which provides her with the informed platform to engage constructively and develop a deep relationship with her clients. I recommend her!"
