What do you love most about your job?

I love being able to reach out and connect with people from all over the UK! It is an incredible feeling to be able to work with someone that lives miles away, making use of technology and providing them with a way to access and accommodate coaching into their busy lives.

Seeing people reach their goals and achieve things that they did not feel they could is a hugely rewarding experience.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was inspired to start my own business many years before I actually made the break from full time employment and took the plunge! Several different issues occurred at once and I found myself unemployed and able to devote the necessary time to build something that I had started a few years ago but never had the time to develop. LifeRedesign enables me to connect with people, support them to reach their potential - whilst also enabling me to reach my own potential through the growth of my small business.

Why should our clients choose you?

I believe that selecting the right coach is something that is critical to someone's success. That is why I offer every new client the chance to talk to me either by phone, Skype chat or video call with no charge or obligation.

I want every person I work with to be comfortable that I am the right person for them. And equally, I want to be certain that I am the right person to support every client I have. I will always be honest and will never accept a client if I do not believe wholeheartedly that I am the right choice.

Therapist FAQs

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.

This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.

Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.

You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.

It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.

Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.

You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.

It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.

Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.

Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.

Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
