What can I say! Called John up on Friday, him came over the next day to discuss my plans to extend an existing block paved drive way. He understood what my requirements were. The price he quoted was excellent. I was flexible when the job could be started but John said they would be able to do the work at short notice as it wasn't the biggest job. They turned up on Monday and worked all day. Couldn't believe it would be done in one day! Fantastic job and I'm completely satisfied with the work. Couldn't recommend them highly enough!

They've only just started but the omens are good. They turned up at the time stated on the first day as promised and got on with a lot of work. They will return on Monday with the plan to finish the work within 3-4 days.

Well, where to start! When we first decided to upgrade our larger than usual driveway (+110m2), we experienced all sorts of fear due to conversations with family, neighbours and friends, and learning of the horror stories they had to share about companies and workmen offering this service in the UK. Cases of work being left incomplete, sunken driveways, rowdy workmen and more pushed us away from pursuing the project, especially since our home is built on a slope. But then we met Edward (Senior) From Old English Patios and Driveways. He's appreciation of our home, safe character and honest conversation, with no pressure to sign up from the very first visit aligned our fears and allowed us to ease into the idea of upgrading our driveway again. He's patience with our many questions, consistency in being gracious with all our concerns & noticeable effort in reducing the cost of the project for us led us to sign on, and we weren't disappointed. The project was started and completed within a week despite two washed out days due to heavy rain full, and our neighbours and family also shared their sentiments of how lucky we were to find the company. In addition, the company didn't demand any down-payment before starting the project, cleared up all the rubble & waste gathered during the project, and provided us with a 7 year guarantee on the project. One thing to share which may concern those reading this is that we were requested to pay some money during the project to help with on going costs of the project, but I didn't see this as a negative, as its all part of running a business, and it was only a request and not a demand, and the amounts requested were minimal in comparison to work completed. If you're thinking of doing up your driveway, don't be turned away by any negative reviews out there. Give the company a chance, and then decide for yourself after meeting Edward whether to go ahead or not. Update: Two months after the job was complete, the company did come by to inspect the driveway. This was a nice touch.
