Gourmet Knight, established in 2008 are based in Cleckheaton West Yorkshire and cater for all types of events, Weddings, Christenings and dinner parties to name but a few. We are lamb and hog roast specialist and can cater for parties of all sizes in around the Yorkshire area. We are also licensed to sell alcohol so we can provide bar services.
We are passionate believers in supporting our local suppliers and over the years we have formed some great relationships with local butchers and farm shops.

The Rural Food Company offers a wide range of catering from informal 'Family' style buffets to formal three, five and seven course dinners. Our award winning head chef has 18 years experience cooking including six years as a head chef aboard luxury motor yachts. We love a challenge and feel that we can cater for any event for any occasion.
Although we have many favourite dishes that we have created over the years we try to offer a bespoke service individual to each clients needs. Although if I had to make a choice it would probably be one of my personal favourite dishes called 'Scallops Old Fashioned' Pan Seared Scallops with Parsnips Puree, Haggis Boudin, Julienne Fries and an Orange and Whiskey Glaze.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
The most important thing for me is to have a chat with the client about what is it they want. I have a short questionnaire I use which will pin point exactly what they want as well as what they don't want. Kind of like a food Heaven and food Hell scenario.
What do you love most about your job?
I have had a passion for food my whole life and so when I started cooking have always loved what I do for a living. Now I have my own company I am thriving on the challenge of catering for all types of tastes in all types of circumstances. I believe that food is a never ending story and that there is always more to learn and more challenges ahead.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I always wanted my own business and put myself in a great position to be able to do so after working in the yachting industry for six years. On returning to England I felt that It was the right time as I had spent my whole career making other people's business' a success I now wanted to do the same for myself.
