What’s your signature dish?

We have a multitude of signature dishes—dishes that we have created and that always receive great reviews. From Salmon to BBQ meats and salads to side dishes like our baked beans or our 7 Cheese Mac & Cheese, these recipes won't be found on other menus with the stunning flavor impact that our recipes deliver. We take the time to develop recipes using the freshest ingredients and herbs and spices that accentuate a meat or vegetable's flavor. Even our rubs, sauces and salad dressing are made by us. What this means to our customers? Freshness and taste that you and your guests won't forget.

How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?

Our motto is "Catering to YOUR Needs!" This means that we serve you and your guests the menu you want and that fits your budget. We don't offer a menu with fixed side dishes and meats. Instead, you choose the meats, entrées, appetizers, side dishes and desserts that you want. We even have menu items that address dietary issues giving our customers the ability to serve gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan dishes for those guests with special needs. We have a conversation with you and can make recommendations to fit what you desire to create the perfect menu for you and your guests.

What do you love most about your job?

This is a great profession. I love meeting and helping clients with their events. I love feeding people great food and know that they are leaving the event satisfied and full. To see the look of happiness and smiles and to hear positive comments on the food makes me feel as though I have been successful as a chef and have taken some of the stress of the event off of my clients' shoulders.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I owned a graphic design business before I started the catering business. A change in the way the graphic design operated warranted a change in my career. What better way to remain creative than to develop recipes and feed people? So was born The Pit Stop BBQ.

I believe that our clients choose us because we value customer service and serving great food. We take pride in what we do and how we treat our clients and their guests. We take pride in fixing food that is fresh and prepared specifically for each event, never using canned products straight out of the can or frozen foods. From our bbq sauce, rubs and salad dressings to our smoked meats, custom entrées and side dishes, you can tell that you are eating freshly prepared foods from scratch. The taste makes all the difference in the world and your guests will know that too!
