Pig on a spit catering is a wow factor for your guests, giving them another special memory from their day with you. Our goal is to use the highest quality meat and ingredients to create mouth-watering food served to your guests by our professional chefs and waiting staff. We strive for the highest and most professional standards at all times and aim to give your guests a feast and service they will be talking about for long after. Our pigs are sourced directly from our own farm, which allows us to track our meat from our farm to your fork, we have our own polytunnels and herb gardens where we grow our own fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs used in our food, ensuring top quality food in addition to our reliable and high quality service. All of our other meats, including salmon, beef and chicken are sourced from local high quality farms. We currently work with some of the most well-known corporate names in the country, including Slane Castle, Slane Whiskey Distillery, Courtlough Shooting Grounds, Canonball Ireland, Friends First, Grant Thornton, Integrity 360, Rhatigan OHL, to name a few. We also work with many of the hotels up and down the country including, Barberstown Castle, An Griannan Hotel, The Headfort Arms Hotel, Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort, Bracken Court Hotel and many more. How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?

We offer a selection of menus, which have been meticulously designed by our Director, Jonathan, with over 10 years of wedding catering experience, in conjunction with our team of chefs. Our menus cater for all taste buds, including any dietary requirements your guests may have, ensuring everyone gets something tasty on the day. We are sure you will find one that suits your desire for the experience you want to provide your guests with on your special day. We do also offer a bespoke service, tailoring your event to whatever your heart’s desire. Simply contact our events co-ordinator today to discuss.

What do you love most about your job?

Jonathan's passion is the "our farm to your fork" moto. He loves to be hands on in all areas of both farm and Pigspit.ie Catering. What inspired you to start your own business?

Jonathan Marry is a second generation pig farmer in Dowth, near Drogheda in Co. Louth and he is passionate about all things pork. He runs the farm established by his Father Jack in the 1970’s. Jonathan has continued in his father’s footsteps since taking over the farm. Running the farm single handed for almost 10 years he has continued the Marry family tradition of hard work and ingenuity. A real passion for quality and pride in his produce led him to establish Pigspit.ie.

In 2015 Jonathan won the prestigious FBD “Young Farmer of the Year”. This significant award recognised Jonathan’s accomplishments on and off the farm since his father’s passing in 2008. The rapid growth of Pigspit.ie has demonstrated his passion for quality Irish pork and his ability to deliver this quality product from his farm to your fork - www.farmersjournal.ie.
