My wife and I have used Affordable Catering to cater two events recently, and both times we were well more than satisfied! The food tasted GREAT and was really easy to serve for large groups. Our first event was my wife's birthday, we had about 40 friends at our house. They were very helpful with delivery and set up and made some awesome specialty pizzas! My wife was so pleased with the quality and service that she reached out to them again to cater our 10-year high school reunion for about 150 people, and again they did a wonderful job. My wife raved about how helpful everyone she worked with and how affordable they were compared to other vendors she reached out to. I would highly recommend them for catering any size party. You won't be disappointed and definitely will not be hungry afterward!

After my 20 year caterer decided three weeks before Christmas not to cater on Christmas Day any more…I panicked, I didn’t know any other caterers. So I went online and did some research. I contacted a few caterers. The caterer that contacted me the quickest was Chef Irving of Sueno Alegre. Since I didn’t know the others either, I decided that since he was the first, I would make the call back to him first.
Not only was Chef Irving willing to provide a Christmas dinner for 22 family members, but he was so nice to talk to, calmed my nerves and gave me the impression that my family Christmas was in good hands. I was sold! He fixed a dinner that I requested (our traditional Christmas dinner with all the fixings). Prior to Christmas, he was always quick to respond if I had a question or a request.
On Christmas Day, he was prompt and had everything he had promised. He worked quickly to set up and the shaffing dishes he brought looked classy. The food smelled delicious! As far as how everything tasted, yummy! The prime rib was cooked perfectly. The green beans were cooked al dente with a touch of spice…very good. Great mashed potatoes, perfectly mashed. The pasta dish was awesome, light and tasty and not too creamy at all. The turkey was very good too but my only complaint was there wasn’t enough. The white meat was the first to go and when my husband and I served ourselves (we were last), there was only the two turkey drum sticks left. But all in all. I would give Chef Irving an A, five stars for his professionalism, his fee (very reasonable), his service, presentation, the quality of the food and of course the taste! Chef Irving saved my Christmas!!
I will definitely call him again for other events!

The overall experience with El Michoacano Botanero was EXTRAORDINARY. Not only was there excellent customer service but there was eye for details. The food tasted delicious, the tacos were finger licking good. Since the meat was full of flavor and well cooked. The rice and beans were well prepared and melted in your mouth. The toppings were also fresh and well prepared. Well deserved five stars. Definitely our favorite cater in all Nor Cal.

Creating the perfect menu for my clients starts with the intention I put into preparing each ingredient. To start with honesty and organic ingredients makes the perfect base in which clients can feel how nourishing their food is, rather than just how delicious it is.
After communicating my clients' preferences and dietary needs, I then suggest which dish they would best appreciate and cook and plate the final menu to their liking.
I love that I can have an honest reaction to my food directly from my clients — good or bad. Every client is different, and if I can provide a good experience, it's an honor each time, and if the experience is less than amazing, it's a learning experience that all rides on how well I can display my expertise.
I was not always a chef, I actually used to be a professional tennis player and TV host in my home country of Argentina. I decided to make the change because growing my own ingredients and cooking them for my family showed me how I can make a career out of serving others instead of myself.
Now, when I serve my clients I am constantly reminded that I am creating a form of art that is bigger than myself and requires servitude towards others in my community.
