These days I find myself experiencing tiny jolts of euphoria where for a split second it dawns on me that I’m a fitter, thinner, more confident, more hopeful and overall happier person than I was less than a year ago. For that, in large part I have Project Re-Humanize to thank.
I have been undergoing my “Re-Humanization” process under the guidance of Jamil for the last eleven months. During that period of time I have shed approximately 30 pounds. I gained muscle and built up a level of endurance which has allowed me, for the first time in my life at the age of 45, to run a 10 mile race, hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, and generally transform myself into a healthy and active person.
Project Re-Humanize came into my life at a point when I seemingly hit rock bottom. I was overweight, depressed, hopeless, and substituted food and alcohol for any meaningful activity in life. As a recent widower and a single father to two boys, one of which has special needs, I did not think that it would be possible to make any changes in the downward spiral of a lifestyle I’ve created.
Once I started working with Project ReHumanize, it became apparent that with the right guidance I could make the much needed change. While there are infinite number of trainers out there, it was obvious from the very beginning that Jamil stood apart from large majority of your stereotypical trainers. His approach integrates every aspect of the human experience. He pays attention to the whole person and targets not only fitness and nutrition but provides support on every level in order to ensure that the client is on the path to success. His process is well thought out and is continuously custom tailored to the person he’s working with. Despite my dislike for this app due to bad experiences in the past, I want to make sure to give props where their due. Louis is respectful and accommodating but also highly knowledgeable when it comes to full body training. We focused on body weight training which was excellent for someone that is starting out. I quickly gained strength and muscle, lost some weight. His workouts were dynamic and would adjusted according to my feedback. I’ve had several trainers in the past, Louis is at the top of my list.

The best trainer I've ever had. Nicola Rossi is just amazing at what he does. He is very thorough with his work. He will find out everything about you to give you the proper work out Plan. I have seen results instantly. I had so many compliments from people within the short time i was training with him. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. He is what i call a real trainer.. Nicola has a amazing equipment from Europe that can tell everything about you body. You can know the areas of strength and weakness in your body and also it can tell your biological age. This is an interesting question as I firmly believe aesthetics are a byproduct of enjoying the exercise you choose to do.
Indeed, aesthetics and getting the body of your dreams are goals for many of us however, do not let that be the most important aspect of your training. We are blessed with bodies filled with intelligence we have yet to fully understand.
Truthfully there is no secret, the physical manifestation of loving your body comes with knowing your are beautiful as you are now, and whatever physical attribute you seek to achieve lies in patience, genuine hard work, and knowing there are no secrets. Personally, it is the combination of teaching my love of movement and promoting strength to the general population. Many of us have been taught misinformation aid pseudo-science and so I I seek to instill a sense of questioning things that may have been accepted as universal truths, I seek to teach women (and men!) to not fear the barbell or dumbbells, I seek to be a guide in the new wave of fitness.
I love hearing how clients start to notice things they’ve never felt before, to know that they’ve trusted me enough to keep moving forward even if progress is slow, even if the upwards moving graph of strength sometimes wavers (such is life). It is in these moments I know I am doing exactly what I should be and that my experience and education mean nothing without the trust gifted to me by my students and clients.
Working for globo type gyms in the past (and answering to a fitness manager) was what gave me the confidence to become an independent trainer.
Those facilities are unfortunately more about sales and numbers instead of the people. They follow rigid protocols that take away from the true goal of personal training. I had reached a point of feeling uncomfortable being pushed to “sell more” and gaining clients simply to feed numbers into a corporate system instead of focusing on the ones I already have.
I have since created my personal brand and answer to no one but science and myself and my mentors. It has been a gift.

I provide online programming for remote clients. This entails highly customized workouts. This service is 299/month with uniquely cued videos and detailed instructions on how to perform all movements. You are fully supported throughout the process.

I require all clients to be vaccinated. I do not require masks, since all clients are vaccinated. There is plenty of hand sanitizer and lysol wipes in the studio. I use a high quality air purifier on a daily basis as well. I have enormous windows I can open for further ventilation.
