Please allow me to introduce myself to you. My name is Rhonda Devlin, and I have a passion to help people in their quest for comprehensive healing- mind, body, and soul. With 25+ years of professional experience, I utilize my various educational skills, training tools, and resources needed for individuals, family systems, and a variety of other group settings to assist in reaching their goals in journeying toward complete wellness. I have traveled down a long road of trauma, abuse, and health issues personally, so I am able to empathize with my clients and walk a mile in their shoes as we work together. I have discovered victory and healing for myself, therefore I not only bring a professional perspective, but also a personal one while working with my clients. I honor each of my clients' unique, remarkable, complex, individual issues and understand that not everyone fits in one specific box. Therefore, I believe that comprehensive care is a necessity. I am able to accomplish this by wearing the many hats that I am qualified to wear through the degrees, licenses, and certifications I have received, which includes: • Faith-Based Therapist, Board Certified • Psychology, BS • Licensed Minister • Registered Nurse • Functional Medicine Practitioner • Certified Life/Wellness Coach I have two amazing children and believe in living life to it's very fullest. Some of my hobbies include working out, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. I love a good joke, enjoy experiencing the zest of living well, and have an insatiable curious nature that drives me to learn, study, and experience all the flavors this life offers. I've been told my enthusiasm for life is contagious and the very essence of who I am inspires those who know me. I am humbly honored to be given the privilege to assist and walk with others on their healing journey.

What do you love most about your job?

The amazing clients I get to work with. Helping others in various ways is a high-light to my life.

What inspired you to start your own business?

First and foremost, I love helping others! It's just what makes me GLOW!
Additionally, having experienced my own personal trauma from childhood to adulthood and having needed healing in order to be brought to the best place I could be in my life I have my own journey to share with others. Having experienced multiple types of abuse, trauma, and the consequences of such things offers me a unique empathic understanding to why others hurt, respond they way they do, and how to find healing from their issues. Because I am an avid learner and desire to bring the best I can to others I entered into professional development in the areas of counseling, spirituality, and medicine so that my care brings a comprehensive dynamic that is crucial for anyone's authentic wellbeing. Neglecting even one component can cause one to be stuck in a loop where full optimization can't occur.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have a five-fold approach to address the various issues you are facing. This includes:

• Systematically evaluating and assessing your psychological, spiritual, and clinical needs.
• Education which focuses on skill development and lifestyle behavior change along with information dissemination and awareness building, customized to your needs.
• Supportively helping you in the process of learning new life skills to replace old habits so that you are able to become aware of and make conscious choices toward a more balanced and healthy lifestyle across six dimensions, including: Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, Physical, Social, and Career adaptation. Balancing these six dimensions will allow you to develop your own resources and capacity to continue a healthy lifestyle and positively engage in all facets of your life.
• Teaching you how to implement, integrate, and practice your new lifestyle, which will result in you being free to truly live the healthy and peaceful life you dream of having.
• When required, collaborating with other clinicians and specialists to help you reach your goals.

Therapist FAQs

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.

This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.

Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.

You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.

It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.

Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.

You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.

It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.

Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.

Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.

Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
