I grew up in the 90's and was catapulted into the diet culture. Every fad diet there was, I was trying to do it. But I failed at all of them. I even tried the slimming clubs, and would have what I call the famous 2 pounds. One week the 2 pounds would go, the next week they'd be back. I was on a constant seesaw which I couldn't get off. As I grew older and bouncing between the newest fad going, I began to suffer with anxiety, and would more often than not suffer panic attacks. It was at this point when I turned to resistance training to help me through my difficult times. This way of exercising changed my life, so much so that I quit my 9-5 job and did my Personal Training qualifications. I now spend my time showing others how you can do the same and show you how resistance training can change your life too. I will also show you how training and eating healthy will become part of your lifestyle where you can still enjoy yourself, make memories all guilt free. I am proof that it can be done. I have broken the diet culture cycle. I have replaced my bad habits for good ones. Let me show you how you can too.

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

The first thing to do is to understand what goal the client has. From here we build a plan together to ensure they achieve that.
It is about finding a way of moving that the client is motivated about and happy to do. If they are not enjoying it they will never be consistent which will then result in being fed up and bored of the process.
I pride myself in ensuring that the client is always happy in the way we work and that they understand the full process in order to reach the goal they want and deserve.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

By understanding it takes time. You have to be consistent and patient with the process in order to get results.
If you expect quick fixes, then I am not the coach for you.

What do you love most about your job?

Helping people. A cliche I know.
I struggled growing up with my weight and anxiety. I never had the support or help that I needed to break the bad habits I had grown accustomed to.
I love to show people how exercise can help, and how life is for living, not being fixated on your weight.
Healthy mind, healthy body.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was badly bullied in my last corporate role. My anxiety was at its peak, and I had built unhealthy relationships with fitness and food. All the bad habits I had tried to break were consuming me.
I wanted to learn how to break that cycle and learn how a healthy lifestyle would actually make me happy.
By understanding how my body works, has now allowed me to break those bad habits once and for all. I am no longer a follower of fad diets and trends. I do what works for me and my body, and that's what I want to share with others.

Why should our clients choose you?

My motto is to unlock your future you need to unpack your past.
We need to understand what triggers your insecurities and how to overcome them together.
Body positivity is about learning to love what you have, whilst understanding what it needs.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes I can.
As well as a face to face personal trainer I also offer online training. This compromises of an exercise and nutrition plan built for you, ensuring that everything is set in order for you to achieve your goal.
Everything is done through my app so it will be like having a pocket sized pt on the go with you.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

As I have my own studio I am able and have been able to train clients outdoors.
I also clean my equipment down daily after use.

There is hand sanitiser available to all clients and good ventilation. I have also offered face to face sessions online for clients who have suffered with Covid.
