Affordable OUTSTANDING small group Zoom lessons start in September! Don't miss out! Book your child's place! https://www.educationlifeguards.com/book-online Laura is a fully qualified and experienced English teacher and she will be teaching and supporting students with their English skills using Zoom and Google Drive. The lessons will commence on the 13th September, 2021 in term 1 and students will attend each week during term time so they can work independently, in pairs and as a group to improve their English skills. Each lesson will consider every child's needs in the group (Laura is very experienced in working with students who have a range of additional needs such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADD, ADHD, autism and students with anxiety). Everyone who signs up will receive a FREE consultation to allow them to meet the teacher, be put at ease and to make sure that they have everything they need in advance of the first lesson. Students will also be asked to complete a prior knowledge assessment which will be used to inform the teacher on areas that need to be developed. Please note that lessons for term 1 will be paid in advance to secure your child's place. This is an excellent opportunity for students who need to gain more confidence with lessons that support the whole child. Book now to secure your place. Lessons cost £16 each but if you book before the end of August, each lesson will be reduced to £12 saving you £52! Education Lifeguards GCSE English tuition: £35 an hour using Zoom and Google drive. KS3 English, maths and/or science tuition: £30 an hour using Zoom and Google drive. Essay support for students who need support with structure, responding to the question and proofreading: £40 an hour using Zoom and Google drive. If money isn't abundant at the moment, we also have a more affordable option for students who need to catch-up where parents can stream real-time lessons when it's convenient on our website.

What do you love most about your job?

Supporting students who don't have faith in their own ability and getting them to see just how successful they can be if they are given the correct tools and motivation.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I love helping people and getting them to believe that anything is possible if you work hard for it... I believe this also applies to myself.

Why should our clients choose you?

I think that people should choose me if they feel it is the right fit. Here is a little bit more about me:

Firstly, I am fully qualified (BA Hons, PGCE, QTS, IGCSE certified & IB Diploma certified). I have worked in the UK, Dubai and Jakarta over the last 14 years as an English teacher, Drama teacher and Assistant Head of English. Over the last decade, I have taught English Language, English Literature, Drama, Performing Arts BTec and Media across all key stages which includes the English NC, the MYP (I managed the integration of this in my department), GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, IB Diploma and dissertation support for adults. Furthermore, I have run support sessions for staff and parents on ICT use in/out of the classroom and how to support individual students with their needs.

My experience has also included working with all abilities and needs such as students who have additional needs and need differentiated support and students who don't speak English as their first language.

My strength lies in creating lessons that are suited to the individual and seeing them as an important person - everyone is equal even if we are not the same and we are all capable of anything.

I must stress that I am supportive, caring and kind but I do expect hard work in return.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, 100%. Outstanding teachers are available for English, science and maths GCSE tuition.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

We are working remotely where possible and using masks, sanitiser, social distancing, and common sense if in person.
