I have been doing personal training with Martyn for nearly a year now. I do the semi private personal training sessions jointly with my sister who has been doing it a couple of years.
I never thought I'd say this but I REALLY enjoy my personal training sessions and definitely have noticed the difference in my strength and weight management. I have a joint problem and Martyn is always happy to adapt certain exercises if I am unable to do them. I have recently done a trial class of his bootcamp which is again creative and enjoyable. How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
In consultation meeting I like to talk to the clients and find out what they're goals are and how we can achieve them and after each session have feedback and make changes if necessary so the next session can be improved if necessary.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
Don't put too much pressure on yourself, human nature is we want results ASAP and in reality it takes a bit of time with healthy eating and great sessions which change regularly to gain maximum results.
What do you love most about your job?
Meeting new people. All my clients are completely different so no program is the same, the challenges or creating individual sessions to get the maximum results.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had been working in an office for years in finance and I trained 14 years ago as a fitness instructor, luckily a couple of years ago I got redundancy and then had the chance to retrain as a PT and haven't looked back since.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have years of experience in the fitness industry and have trained in many fitness programs from Les Mills body training systems to spin, circuits and yoga. I have full classes at the gyms I teach at and I constantly doing different training programs to keep workouts and client programs up to date.
