I see Martyn once a week for kettle bells. He's confident and knowledgeable with what he does. Martyn always has something new and innovative up his sleeve, which makes for a really enjoyable class but also great for getting fit and loosing weight. I couldn't recommend Pride Personal Training more. Martyn is so supportive, knowledgeable and friendly (we constantly chat in between sets! ). The workouts are always varied which is ideal for me - not 1 workout is the same. Book in with him now!! More...

I worked with Martyn for 3 months alongside my wife Jane. I've always been fairly active but never fond of the gym... but straight away on my first session Martyn made me feel comfortable, welcome, and pumped to get working! From then on I loved every session (except my unfortunate battle rope vs testicle incident!!!), which was different every time, and made a new friend in Martyn. I looked forward to our conversation as much as the workout! This is a busy period for me with work, but can guarantee once 2017 is here I'll be back smashing it and can't wait! (except for jump squats. I can wait a long time for them) Thanks mate! More...

Great PT! Always supportive, friendly and so easy to get on with which is such an important quality to have. Gave me the motivation I needed to get back into shape after a tricky few months which led me to "fall off my training wagon" fully recommend to anyone who wants to lose weight, tone up, get stronger whilst still enjoying the workout....it is possible :-)

We started as a couple last autumn following a recommendation from a good friend.
My husband needed specific strength and core training to build up ready to take on the Marathon des Sables multi-day marathon event in Morocco. It wasn't just about the running; he needed the core and strength preparation as he is carrying around 8kg in the form of a rucksack with all his kit , 5 days of food rations and daily water rations.
He finished his training feeling prepared and strong.
But it wasn't just Richard here - I wanted to train too and Martyn has helped me massively - I am a faster, stronger swimmer and better runner and cyclist. And on the days where I was dealing with a niggle, Martyn adapted my training whilst still training Richard to meet his potential. Highly recommend Martyn. Thanks. :-)

I have been working with Martyn for a while now and have enjoyed it thoroughly! Hard work but very varied so no chance of getting bored! I hate the ordinary type of gym work but martyns workouts are great. I have had multiple injuries and health issues and he taylors the workout to that. More...

Brilliant! I have been working with Martyn for over a year and I have enjoyed every session. You never do the same work out twice. ..each session is different! There has been many times I have had wanted to throw in the towel and give up on losing weight and Martyn has been there cheering me on and giving the necessary kick to get back in the game. He is genuinely a nice guy and cares about what he does. I can't recommend Pride Personal Training enough....you really won't be disappointed. More...

I have been doing personal training with Martyn for nearly a year now. I do the semi private personal training sessions jointly with my sister who has been doing it a couple of years.
I never thought I'd say this but I REALLY enjoy my personal training sessions and definitely have noticed the difference in my strength and weight management. I have a joint problem and Martyn is always happy to adapt certain exercises if I am unable to do them. Highly recommend to anyone.

I signed up for three months with Martyn in order to learn how to lift and to bulk up. I had been a gym user for a long time but I hadn't seen much progress so I hoped PT would help. Martyn was a very friendly trainer and from the start it was clear he was knowledgeable and experienced. I explained what my goals were and he tailored a program to them. I am very impressed by how much and how fast I was able to progress following his workouts, lifting heavier than I ever set out to. Sessions were fun and challenging and he was constantly able to change and adapt to how it’s going. This included when my priorities changed due to time constraints or changes of interest; he changed the program without any trouble. Importantly for me, he gave me the confidence to workout effectively on my own and to do the big lifts that I previously wasn't comfortable to try on my own. I would recommend him as a PT. If I wasn't moving away I would signing up immediately for more. More...
