Mike is knowledgeable, not only about training and techniques but also about how the body works and as a result his training is centred around function.
Due to his achievements in professional sport he has honed his skills based upon his own experiences and has personally helped me to build muscle and constantly set new PBs.
Today I doubled the amount I could squat when I first started with him. Massive gains but you’ve got to put the work in.
Don’t go thinking you can turn up, put in half a shift and not commit - go somewhere else if you want that. Go to Mike if you are willing to work and you will definitely get results.

Adam goes above and beyond and he just makes you want to achieve. He has so many great qualities but those that really set him apart are his compassion, his ability to really understand and empathise and the way he helps you with that mindshift you need. He helps you focus on you. You are so looked after during training and he finds a way around every injury and obstacle with you. He really is someone to put your faith in.

I have been working with KT for just over a year. She helped me prepare my body for surgery in January, without her help, compassion and expertise I would not have recovered as quickly. After my surgery we started again on a 1:1 basis and re-built my strength, stamina and fitness. I have now lost the weight I put on during my recovery period and as well as doing the small group personal training sessions, I am rebuilding my core strength with KT using the pilates reformer and with Melody Dean in pilates classes. KT really pays attention to your individual needs and goals, I highly recommend her and her team

My name is Chris, I am a Female Weight Loss specialist, in particular those aged 25-50. The reason why I love doing this is I like to help people achieve amazing things in a short space of time but more importantly making that last forever, giving people more confidence, drop a dress size, jean size, tone up and feel better within themselves. Rather than give you a diet or generic exercise program i help you create your own diet, your way of doing things, your own exercise program based on your preferences, your likes and dislikes.

I came to Chris 10 months after having a baby. 6 months away from getting married and had put on alot of weight (size 10-12 to a size 14-16). in turn making me lose any body confidence i had and feeling at a real low. I explained what my goals were and Chris made me feel really confident that I could get to where I wanted to be. He explains well what each and every exercise is doing as you do it. And I started to see results quickly. He has such a kind approach and having once been incredibly intimidated and scared of the gym i now feel completely confident walking in by myself to do a quick session. 6 months later ive dropped down to my goal weight. I'm now on the smaller side of a size 10 and fitting in clothes i havnt fitted in for years. Thankyou so much chris! I definatly couldnt have done it without you

As a Strength & Conditioning Coach, I will focus on movement and strength in our sessions. This will allow you to move better, which means less pain and more time spent doing the things you've wanted to do but previously couldn’t. How will you feel during and after sessions? I make sure that each session is different whilst still maintaining the same movement patterns in order to work towards your goal without getting bored of the same old routines you've done in the past.

I have been going to Laura’s Pilates classes for 5 months now, and I’ve recently started doing her Barre class too. I have tried numerous different Pilates classes as I have suffered with a bad back for a number of years and I can honestly say this is by far the best class I have been too. The class is tailored for different abilities and as you get stronger you can progress on. As well as enjoying the classes I’m delighted to say my back has really improved and I don’t have to see a regular physiotherapist anymore. If your thinking of starting a new class definitely give one of Laura’s classes a try.
Hi! I'm Lina, an NASM International Certified Personal Trainer who works specifically with women. I create bespoke programs tailored to the needs, goals & limitations of every individual. I also consider the ways in which the female body is different, and how they can affect the way we train and even our ability to. I also aim to make sure that one day you won't need me anymore! I want to equip you with the skills you'll need to help you with your future goals, so that you can do them on your own. I work from a training space in Chester (see photos below) that is equipped with free weights, barbells & plates, kettlebells, resistance bands, TRX suspension trainer, stability equipment, and mats & muscle-massage rollers. It's private, and everything is disinfected before and after each use. Depending on your location, goals and preferences, it's also possible for your sessions to be in the comfort of your own home, or outdoors.
I create programs that are 100% tailored to the individual needs, goals, abilities & limitations of my clients - you won't get any pre-made 'cookie-cutter' programs from me. I aim to provide a judgment-free, informal & friendly environment, encouraging you to believe in your abilities to do & learn, while also holding you accountable for your motivation & participation.
I am firmly anti-fad-diet and anti-workout-gimicks. What you'll get from me will be based in sustainability, not on short term quick fixes that don't even work.
Finding something active & a way of nourishing yourself that you genuinely love, and consistently doing that! When you love it, it won't feel as much like an obligation, as it will be something you're doing to enrich your life, rather than limit it!
Seeing the ways in which a client changes, not just physically, but mentally. When they begin to see their progress - whether that be in appearance or performance - they begin to believe in themselves and their progress trajectory speeds up even more! It makes me so proud of them when they compare themselves where they started, to where they are now.
I'm never going to be a drill sergeant - I will always aim to listen to your concerns and work with you to address them. I will motivate you and hold you accountable, but I will never guilt you or make you feel bad. Life happens, and sometimes we need compassion to stay on track, not guilt. (Unless that's your style of course!)
I will always make sure that you are performing everything safely & correctly. I will teach you to be able to identify whether or not your form is correct on your own too, and teach you to identify which muscles you are using, so that you are not just arbitrarily doing exercises without engaging the correct muscles.
Yes, I can work with you online & remotely. Video call is usually how I will recommend us to work with each other - whether that be as you work out or for check ins.
Should I work out every day of the week?
It depends on your end goal. If you’re training for a marathon, you might work out nearly every day of the week. If you’re a low-level beginner, a minimum of three times a week is enough to make a noticeable impact. No matter what you’re working out for, everyone needs rest and recovery days. Without them, your muscles won’t be able to recuperate and grow strong, so remember to factor in some down-time, too!

Where can I have my personal training sessions?
Pretty much anywhere! The great thing about personal training is that it’s flexible - as long as you have the necessary equipment, you and your instructor can decide to have your sessions from the gym, your home, the park, or even your office if you want to!

Does my fitness instructor need to know anything about me?
Yes! First of all, they will chat with you about your goals, and discuss the best way to achieve them. They should also ask you to fill in a consent form to check that you don’t have any pre-existing health conditions that could impact your exercise. They’ll also carry out a health assessment to get a better idea of your current fitness level, tailoring your workout plan around that.

What does a standard personal training session involve?
It's tricky to say, as personal training sessions vary significantly depending on what you want to achieve and the type of workout. Generally, one personal training session tends to last forty-five minutes to one hour. It will start with a gentle warm-up, followed by the nitty-gritty of the actual workout, with stretches to end the session. Remember, warming up and stretching is essential for injury prevention - it’s just as important as the main part of the workout!

What qualifications should a personal trainer have?
A personal trainer needs to be clued up on all aspects of fitness, from the most effective exercise techniques to nutrition and human anatomy- that’s a lot of responsibility! You need to make sure your professional is suitably qualified for the job. After all, you shouldn’t cut corners when it comes to investing in your health. Make sure your trainer has the minimum qualifications required to practice. In the UK, this is the Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.

Can I get a Personal Trainer online?
Absolutely! Online personal training has become increasingly popular as more people are looking to maintain their fitness during lockdowns and gyms closing. As long as you and your personal trainer have a strong internet connection and a device to stream on like a laptop, tablet or smartphone, there's no reason why your session can't be delivered remotely.
