Ample rest between training sessions is also very important but is often neglected - more is not necessarily better.
There isn't really any secret to it - eat well, sleep well, drink plenty of water and train regularly. Add as much variety to your training as you can, and make each session challenging. Try to enjoy life, accept that sometimes things don't go to plan and don't waste energy trying to change things that you can't change.
It's a sad fact that many of my clients come to me for the first time after suffering a health scare or illness.
