Once that short, medium and long term goals, have been established, each client embarks upon an individually tailored programme of exercise that is appropriate to the attainment of those goals. In most cases, the support that is needed goes beyond the Personal Training itself, to supporting each client with nutritional advice as appropriate as well coaching the client to implement sustainable changes in habits to support the process.

None of my clients has ever stated this as their goal. My clients want to get fitter, in some cases to lose some weight, and feel healthier, happier and more confident in their daily lives. The secret to achieving this, is to apply sensible and appropriate training programmes combined with nutritional advice, and coaching on how to sustain these changes for long term benefit.

Seeing my clients progress towards their goals, and benefitting from not only improved fitness, but all of the positives associated with that, such as improved confidence, self esteem and happiness.

Working as a Personal Trainer is highly vocational. I have observed that for many women, it is not easy to access Personal Training in an environment that they feel comfortable with. I wanted to offer women the opportunity to train without embarrassment, in an environment in which they would feel supported and confident and at the same time be able to realise their potential.

I offer Personal Training in an environment that is very different to a 'big box' gym. Face to face training takes place in quiet and very private facility on the Broad Oak Road in Canterbury. We train in a single room with a lovely matted floor. The environment is caring and supportive. We have a lot of fun! Online training is also carefully tailored to the goals of each individual.

Yes, I provide face to face and online Personal Training. The online service operates over Zoom. This has been an invaluable service to clients during the lockdowns and ongoing for those who are not yet confident enough to venture indoors for face to face training and also for those who struggle to fit in travel time to training sessions.

I have completed the ReActivate Covid-19 Return to Work Training. (ReActivate is a CIMSPA and Sport England initiative, delivered by Future Active Workforce CIC). Risk Assessments and Covid safety procedures are in place, documented and communicated to all clients who book face to face training sessions. These procedures are consistently in place before, during and after all training sessions.



Services

Personal Training Sessions are tailored to your goals.

Training sessions will vary in terms of their focus upon cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance and flexibility and the availability of nutritional advice as appropriate. Sessions will have structure and variety. Examples of training techniques that may be used include bodyweight exercises, dumbbells, barbells, sandbags, kettlebells, TRX®, Suspension Training®, Boxercise® and stretching.

Boxercise® is an extremely popular form of fitness training, based upon the training methods used by boxers. The punches taught include jab, cross hooks and uppercuts.

The physical benefits of Boxercise® training can include improvements in cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, endurance and tone, improvements in core strength and motor skills. Boxercise® is not a self defence class, nor is it designed to prepare participants to compete in the sport of boxing. Nonetheless, participation in Boxercise® may help to reduce stress levels, increase endorphins, boost mood and improve confidence and self esteem.
