London

Initially coming from a boxing background and focusing heavily since 2010 on jump rope training in particular, becoming one of leading experts and starting the first jump rope specific class in London which has been running for 8 years. My foray into training was initiated by an injury which led me into learning more about the human body. This led me down the strength and conditioning route and training in sports massage and biomechanics. I then later trained as CHEK Practitioner which has given me an holistic view of training the human body and human movement, looking into kinesiology and corrective exercise. I'm primarily concerned with getting people moving better and performing to their best and this is what I focus on. My experience has allowed me to work with many athletes as well as people recovering from injuries and those just looking to get fitter. I'm a mobile trainer and work out of gyms all over London, so I come to a place near you. Training is conducted based on your needs. You won't receive a cookie cutter program but something specific to you and based on the findings of an initial assessment. Personal Training/Holistic Lifestyle Coaching I offer my holistic coaching and personal training in one package so the client really gets value for money, although these are two related but distinct services. So this represents excellent value for money. As a CHEK Practitioner and CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach, I see what you want to achieve, find out the barriers and see how we can improve not only your training but your lifestyle in order to receive the full benefits of your training programme. A full movement screen and athletic assessment is carried out initially to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses and a plan formulated based upon this. Taking into account your individual goals, realistic targets will be set and regular assessments conducted and programme tuned accordingly. Rates: £90 per session for one-off session / £60 per session for minimum of 5 sessions per block. Full programmes are typically 12 weeks long but this would depend on client needs and requirements, injuries, rehabilitation etc. Personal: One to one sessions to get you where you need to be and hit your goals in 12 weeks. What’s included: - 1 to 1 personal training sessions (pricing based on 2 per week, 24 total) - additional sessions are offered at a discounted rate - Free initial consultation and first session free - Holistic Lifestyle Assessment - Regular assessments (biomechanical, movement, biomotor abilities and postural, nutrition and lifestyle assessments) - Track record sheet of progress and assessments - Skype calls when needed/required – 2 per week included - Online portal access to assessments, records and exercise programmes and videos - Free personalised, progressive exercise programme - Diet and meal plan and guidelines - Lifestyle assessments with recommended guidelines - Diet and sleep logs and tracking Price: £2100 for 12 weeks Online: £650 for 12 weeks What’s included: - Initial assessment which can be done over skype and instructed, remotely with instructions and stretches or in person - Consultation and assessments - Holistic Lifestyle Assessment - Online portal access to assessments, records (sleep and exercise diaries) and exercise programmes and videos - Track record of progress and assessments - Skype calls when needed/required – 2 per week included - Free personalised, progressive exercise programme - Diet and meal plan and guidelines - Lifestyle assessments with recommended guidelines - Diet and sleep logs and tracking We enter into a contract and I take the work seriously to ensure things are kept on track. I may email and text to make sure things are kept on track if milestones/deadlines are slipping. This allows me to keep a consistent success rate. This programme is for everyone but only if you're ready and prepared. It is a big investment in time and money and you won't get either back. So you need to make sure you're ready to make the changes. I'll be with you every step of the way and it's a team effort. Bespoke plans are also available Strength and Conditioning: If you're an athlete or want to train like one, I have a background in S&C and currently train boxers in this capacity. We usually work to a 12 week cycle which aims to improve specific attributes over this time. You will go through a full mobility and activation warm-up, then onto a strength or agility/speed session and finishing with some stretching. Jump Rope: As a Buddy Lee Jump Rope ambassador and Level 3 certified jump rope trainer, I have run workshops and classes the last 3 years as well as individual sessions. If you're looking to master the jump rope, I run a programme over 8-12 weeks although on a personal basis, this can be customised. This will get you to grips with the 15 basic moves, some advanced moves (double unders) as well as create a routine. Qualifications: L2 Gym Instructor L3 Personal Trainer L5 Sports & Exercise Nutritional Advisor Level 4 Strength & Conditioning Coach MSc Strength & Conditioning Buddy Lee Level 2 & 3 Jump Rope Instructor & Official Jump Rope Ambassador Level 3 Sports Massage CHEK Integrated Movement Science Level 1: Holistic Corrective Exercise and Performance Coaching CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach Level 1 CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach Level 2 CHEK Integrated Movement Science Level 2: Neuro-Developmental Movement Analysis CHEK Integrated Movement Science Level 3: Spinal and Lower Extremity Rehabilitation and Conditioning BioMechanics Coach (Pelvis, Spine, Shoulders, Knees & Feet)

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

Firstly, with my clients, we enter into a mutual contract. We're both looking for results and need to hold up our end. If you're paying for a service, you're going to want to take it seriously. And me too. So we're both accountable.
Second step is to identify your goals, dreams and motivations.
We do a consultation where we discuss timelines and expectations of your goal and what you'd need to do.
Assessments are then conducted. These are extensive and we identify exactly where your body is and what changes you need to make to achieve your fitness goals.
No stone is left unturned.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

Be open minded and put the time in to achieve this.
Do not expect results overnight. It takes time and dedication to achieve this. It's not all about what happens in the gym either as much as what happens in the kitchen and your lifestyle.

What do you love most about your job?

Seeing someone who has limitations with learning a particular skill or moving a certain way being able to overcome that so they can be put on the path to achieving what they want.
Watching them overcome hurdles especially after many years of trying beforehand is very rewarding. Now with technology, progress like this can be tracked every week.
It's not just about getting you looking good. It's about getting you feeling good, moving well and being balanced.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Accidentally. I was just hanging out and helping out at the gym while I was injured and giving tips on jumping rope as well as doing some boxing drills.
From there, I got involved in jump rope more and more, travelling around the world to learn and teach.
Naturally, skipping clients wanted to know how to box and teaching out of a boxing gym, I started teaching again.
From my own injuries, I wanted to know more about the human body and how injuries and muscular imbalances occur. This led me onto learning about biomechanics, strength and conditioning and mobility.
Through word of mouth, the client base grew from everyday clients who wanted to just get fit to athletes wanting a strength and conditioning programme. This inspired me to start this out as a business.

Why should our clients choose you?

I'm always learning, have been around and trained with some of the best in the fields of boxing and strength and conditioning. I always have my fingers on the pulse of these communities to keep up with the latest developments. I've seen a lot of clients for a lot of different reasons. Some want to gain extra on their vertical jump, some want to learn double unders in 4 weeks, some want to just get a big bum and others want to get rid of it. Over time, I've learned more and more about the body and what it takes to help with all of these and what the realistic timelines are.
I like to start with a full assessment and then a programme. If you don't like the idea, then that's fine. We part ways, no charge. My business has grown primarily through word of mouth with little advertising.
I don't believe in getting clients looking better, this is a by-product. I focus on assessing movement so you can feel better and more athletic. That's the aim.
