Personal Trainers

Claude has listened to my needs & goals then tailored a plan to fit. He is friendly, encouraging, quite clearly knows what he's doing & is extremely patient with my 'newbie to exercise' status! My goals have already started to be met & the positive impact of working with him has trickled through to other areas of life I'd wanted to tweak. Highly recommended!! More...

I’ve been training with Claude for over 5 years. Starting with him when my youngest was 7 months old. I completed a kettle bell course and then a women’s introduction to strength course with him, I now train with him weekly. Prior to training with Claude, I exercised regularly going to aerobics and running, but my body never changed. Claude has given me the confidence and knowledge to lift weights with good form and to prioritise quality over quantity. I’ve seen great results both mentally and physically. I’m now the strongest I’ve ever been and I value myself so much more. I’m forever grateful for his knowledge and coaching. Last year I passed my strong first SFG qualification, with his help and guidance. A qualification that a few years ago I would have thought would have been out of my reach. More...

Being a lady in my later years thats been involved in professional sport to a high level. I’ve been and done many fitness regimes and classes. I had stagnated for a period of time and was looking for something that would keep me motivated and engaged to keep coming back. Claude is a great PT and every session is different. You can walk in feeling a little tired and perhaps aching as I do sometimes and leave feeling a different person. I feel stronger and better in myself for training with Intelligent Strength. Would recommend to anyone who wants something that’s totally tailored your personal
needs.

Well having graduated earlier this year I can tell you.. IT WORKS. Best thing I have ever done in terms of fitness and Claude is a exceptional coach with a wealth of experience and knowledge which really helped me keep motivated and with a set mind. I lost over 2 stone and became stronger than ever. Having never had to diet before in my life.. after getting comfortable like we all do haha, I thought it would be so hard. But this just showed me that eating well and training isn't hard, it was enjoyable in fact. I learnt so much about nutrition and the correct form for lifting weights and I'm so glad and chuffed with my results. So if you are debating on starting The Amazing 12.. I say go for it!!! More...

Q&As

First stop is to assess the goal - to see if it's realistic and achievable. Then we need to look at how much time we have - weeks or a lifetime - and how frequently you are able to train. I would then assess your movement in order to see what limitations I may be working with and from this information I can structure a plan based initially on the skills you already have. I am a big believer in teaching and sticking to the basics. More complicated doesn't often equal better results.

The two greatest obstacles I've faced when working with clients. 1. Lack of patience 2. Poor lifestyle choices.

Eating cleanly and healthily and knowing what function each food group provides, putting in the required amount of training, following a program that is designed to achieve the goals you have in mind and making sure you get adequate rest/recovery. It's really that simple - in principle.

Seeing people transformed, helping clients achieve their goals, watching clients make progress and knowing I've had a positive impact on someone's life. I know that by helping one person I am probably helping 10. By improving your strength, health and fitness, you are able to function better in your job, family and life in general. The knock-on effect is powerful. To be a part of that is rewarding enough.

Being my own boss, I know I can follow my own philosophy, which is continually evolving and the result of many decades training in different types of movement and sports. I've learned from mistakes I have made and injuries I have received. I am always learning. Rather than dancing to a tune I don't like the sound of, I now make my own 'music'. I believe in what I do and understand the process of change and true value of health.

1. I care. 2. I want you to succeed. 3. I have standards. 4. I am strict with my standards. 5. I work towards high standards. 6. I accept there is a beginning and there is working towards an end. 7. I want you to leave every session with me feeling like you have made progress and were better than when you started. 8. I have been training for over 30 years. 9. My experience has taught me a lot. 10. I understand this is a two-way street - that to get results we have to work together. 11. I have worked with clients of different ages, levels of ability and both sexes. 12. I know my limitations and won't try to mislead you if I don't have the answers. 13. I have many examples of clients who have achieved amazing transformations. 14. My clients trust and respect me, which means a lot. 15. I have knowledge about diet and nutrition as well as training.

Services

12-week course designed to create the greatest physical changes in three months. Includes nutrition/diet guidance, 5 days training per week with a coach and, depending on starting body type, additional training each day. The program has been going for more than 15 years and is now available around the world, but there are only about 50 coaches. My job is to guide you through the process, teach you the movements, make sure your technique is good and offer support on training and nutrition. Open to men and women over 18, with or without prior training experience. Package includes free 'before' and 'after' photos. However, only those who follow the program fully will graduate.

I offer 1:1 sessions or can work in small groups (2-3). Whether it's weight-lifting or conditioning or preparing for a specific sport, I can help you to achieve your goals.

This program is for those who feel they don't have the time to commit to training five days per week. It comprises of three days training on alternate days. Sessions are shorter - between 35-50 minutes long. The program comes with nutritional guidelines. The package also includes before and after photos to display the changes achieved, though only those who adhere to the program can graduate.

Imagine being able to train three times per week and make continual progress. That's what the A12 Life is about: a program specifically designed to enable constant improvement. It's for those who have either just completed one of the other A12 programs or take a long-term view of training, strength and well-being and want training to be a non-negotiable part of their lifestyle. Every 12 weeks the program changes. No before and after photos are included or necessary. Sessions are about 50 minutes long.
