I had a very difficult childhood and experienced extreme trauma, neglect and negative habits.
As I grew older my childhood experiences played out in my adulthood and I developed low moods, a lack of self worth and indulged in negative habits.
I then went into rehab and underwent therapy which changed my life.
I then decided I wanted to help people in the same way and make a difference in people's lives.
I was once hopeless and thought there was no way out but today I know that is not true.
People should choose Keysteps wellbeing service because we put ourselves into clients shoes and listen with empathy and understanding in order to help you deal with any negative thoughts and feelings you may be experiencing. We also help clients move on from positions they don't want to be to a more positive space in a time frame that is comfortable to them.
We are passionate about empowering clients and utilise Cognitive behavioural therapy, a person-centred approach, and motivational interviewing therapy to achieve this aim.
We can also use natural organic remedies that can support and enhance treatment.

I came to James back in October 2023 as I was in such a bad place, physically, socially & mentally. I felt angry all the time, and that would lead to being upset and frustrated, I was constantly worried and overthinking and I couldn’t budge from this and I never ever thought I was going to get better or be happy. This was taking its toll at work, at home, in my relationship and with family and friends. James was so lovely throughout all my sessions. He went at a nice pace for me, and we spoke about what I wanted to on each session. Some sessions were just a good rant, and it felt so nice getting all of this off my chest and having someone to listen to me, even having an input from a different perspective. I tried Hypnotherapy for the first time, and I loved it. We did a few different things in our sessions from Hypnotherapy to role play, different techniques and scenarios for things, and it was really refreshing using different techniques to help with my anger and being upset etc. it really made me understand how and why I was feeling like this and how I could overcome this. I felt so at ease with James, how he presented himself, how he spoke, I just felt so relaxed with him on our sessions. I had a few sessions where I felt angry or upset and coming off the session at the end, it was a huge amount of pressure off my shoulders. I couldn’t fault anything. I had 12 sessions in total, and starting from being angry and in quite a bad place, to I now feel happier in general. I have no anger towards anything or anyone, I feel proud of myself of what Iv accomplished so far, and still wanting to learn and improve. I have the skills to work with my feelings now so if I have a bad day, I know how to deal with things better. I never thought I’d need something like this, and it was the best thing I ever did and I’m so so proud I did it! James, I can’t say in words and thank you enough for all the help and support you’ve given. Thank you so much, appreciated all the time taken during this!
