I specialise in informal, natural looking ponds and water features that are extremely easy to care for. Our goal is to make your water feature look as natural as possible, so people question whether it is a real pond/stream or not. You wont find any filtration, liner or plastic components on show with our water features. We also do comprehensive pond and water feature maintenance packages which can be found on our website.
I love the variability of each project. Each new project is a blank canvas for my art. Unlike typical landscaping, the creation of beautiful water features is very organic, which makes it very difficult to draw for my customers exactly how each feature will look, as this depends on what each individual rock looks like. This makes my job challenging, but exciting. The artistic nature of water features is exactly why you should hire a professional water feature specialist, rather than a typical general landscape contractor. The general contractor might be able to get water flowing for you, but it may not look natural, hold water or last very long.
Currently, as the business is relatively new, I operate in my spare time and on weekends around my full-time job. I started my business as it's what I love to do. Bio-mimicry to create beautiful natural looking pieces of art in the form of water features is a lot of fun, my business allows me to monetise this but also give others the opportunity to live the Aquascape lifestyle, and change the perception of water features here in the UK, which is generally negative due to previous practices which are fundamentally flawed and failing.
When a customer wants a water feature, in the past they would have approached general contractors who unfortunately do not have the right knowledge or artistic sense to build such a sophisticated piece of art. Therefor I would always recommend customers to go with specialists, even though we may be typically more expensive, our features are guaranteed to satisfy you, and you will not have the stress of constant maintenance due to design flaws.
The first discussion can be carried out remotely over the phone. To do this we require pictures of your spaces that you wish the water feature to be in. It's important that we also see these spaces with pictures taken from within your home too, as although you will spend a lot of time outside with your water feature, you will still spend the majority of your time inside. Therefore we must design the water feature for inside viewing as well as outside. However the second discussion must be held at your home. Further information about the process can be found on my website, or I'm happy to discuss this upon receiving your enquiry.
The vast majority of our work will be done outside, however to ensure the feature can be viewed from the inside we regularly return to viewing points inside the house during the building process. To do this masks will be worn, and regular handwashing/antibacterial use will be done.
