What do you love most about your job?

It's a privilege to serve my clients. I love to watch authentic transformation take place. This enables clients to thrive as the best version of themselves. Their confidence, self-care and self-respect grows by the session.

Their GROWTH often inspires family, peer group and colleagues to follow suit, by showing, not telling.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was involved in a serious car crash, just before my seventh birthday. It killed both of my parents. The tragic loss of the two closest people in my early years was disorientating and painful.

It has given me a unique set of "super powers", deep empathy and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Whatever the issue is, it's important in your life, I honour and respect that.

From this tragic experience, The Imperfect Life philosophy was born, moving clients confidently from victim, survivor to thriver. The principles of this bounce-back process has helped my clients thrive after redundancy, divorce, bereavement, loss of motivation and direction.

My clients say they appreciate my humour, (ahem, that's subjective of course), warmth and compassion, often commenting about how easy it is to share authentically with me. They have a coach that has walked, the walk by their side.

My clients ask me to help them get back on course after a storm, find direction or create an exciting destination. I use my deep empathy, experience and impactful coaching methods, ask powerful, searching questions. The coaching tools I give you are map and compass to get you to your desired destination. Where is that? You decide, you are the captain of the ship.

Why should our clients choose you?

Only choose me if you value your time and want results. I have studied for a Diploma in Transformational Life Coaching, at the highest rated centre in the UK.

You can either recruit the professional (me) or immerse yourself in 20 years personal development study, spend tens of thousands of pounds on courses, attend events and read a library of books.

The Imperfect Life strategies help people achieve the next level of success. I have worked with captains of industry, public figures, musicians, media personalities, academics and charities. I have numerous testimonials available upon request.

Your professional life coach will be able to advise you on the full range of coaching available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted life coach today.

You can have as many or as few life coaching sessions as you like. Many life coaches operate over the phone or via the internet so the sessions can easily fit around your schedule. Some people hire a life coach once every few months, some people have a session once a week.

Life coaching sessions will typically last up to an hour. Often after an initial assessment, sessions can be conducted over the phone, face to face, over email, via Skype/Zoom and occasionally through instant messaging.

During the session, your life coach will ask you a number of questions, such as what you want to achieve in life, what areas you're unhappy with and where you'd like to see yourself in the future. Although a life coach will work with you, it’s often up to you to challenge or reflect upon certain ideas you have to help you move forward with your life. You will never be forced to make any decisions you don't feel comfortable with and all sessions will be confidential.

Life coaching is focused on your present and your future. Coaching accepts your current reality and looks to improve your outcome moving forward. Life coaches are not health professionals and they do not diagnose you. By contrast, therapy focuses on your past and looks to delve into past actions and patterns. It is analytical but not action-oriented.

Most mainstream health insurance providers do not cover the costs of life coaching because it is not considered a mental health profession in the same way therapists and counsellors are.

Life coaches do not need to have any formal or academic qualifications but you may want to look for life coaches who possess an industry-specific qualification, such as the Life Coaching Diploma or Personal Performance Diploma (PPD).

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark, which shows you reviews from past customers who have used their life coaching services.

A life coach is a trained professional who aims to help and guide individuals to make, meet and exceed personal and professional goals. They support clients on a journey to rediscover their own strength and abilities. This can include excelling in the workplace, becoming happy and fulfilled at home, exploring your potential, managing health conditions and achieving life ambitions.

By harnessing techniques based on core psychological principles and intuition, life coaches empower clients and provide a toolkit of teachings to confidently face difficult challenges and overcome emotional barriers.

Life coaches can specialise in one of these particular areas of coaching: career coaching, executive business, group coaching, health and wellbeing, performance management, personal development, relationships, retirement, spiritual and youth coaching.

Rapport is one of the most important parts of life coaching. If you feel uncomfortable with your professional, you are unlikely to gain much from the session. It is advisable to get in contact before you book a session to meet your life coach so you can gauge how comfortable you are in their presence. It is worth talking to a few potential life coaches and ask questions.

Yes! As long as you have a strong internet connection, then your life coach can deliver sessions via an online video chat platform. Alternatively, it can be done over the phone.
