I started with Mark last year, I was in a job where I was giving everything, working all hours and still being micro managed, treated disrespectful, but as the main earner in the family I felt I had no option but to take it on the chin and keep the head down and put up and shut up. I was very stressed and my life was consumed by work and other peoples expectations, I had very little control over my time. It was hard for me to open up as I am a quiet person and I find it hard sharing my problems, a closed book you could say. Mark taught me how to be compassionate to myself and treat myself the way I would expect others to be treated and that I was not being kind to myself by letting myself being treated this way and spending all the time working and not speaking up for myself for being treated so bad. Mark also made me realise that working gave me the opportunities to go on holidays, make friends and have the money to pay the bills. Mark showed how to value me and to set boundaries for myself and to start doing day to day things that I enjoy, I no longer work late unless its urgent, I don’t let people be disrespectful to me. I am now kind to myself and I realise I have a choice in the way I reacted in situations and its my choice what I do with my time. I am nolonger consumed by work.
