Susy Natal - Strategic Mindset & Lifestyle Coach

My name is Susy Natal and I am a Strategic Mindset and Lifestyle Coach. I have been working in the coaching space for almost 10 years. My varied background has led me to have a very allround approach to health, which includes our individual and ever-changing experience of the world. Our physical and mental health are inextricably linked, and our capacity to experience wellness stems from a desire to practice and improve our self-awareness, face our fears and reparent our less helpful patterns. Every person is a whole world and what they believe and tell themselves shapes the reality of that world. We all have times and areas of our lives where we can get stuck, and I love to be able to help as a guide and facilitator to arrive at the strategies for working through these sticky areas. Our bodies are the vessels and the only place we have to truly call home. Our minds tell us what we believe is possible and how we feel about ourselves. Our relationship with ourselves, therefore, is the foundation of our relationship with all other beings and things that we interact with. This is why I like to take an integrated approach in my work to help arrive at the best solutions for each individual that I work with. You can do anything, but not everything. When we say yes to something, we by necessity say no to something else. Strategy, therefore, is about what we choose to say no to. I believe that we are our choices, so learning how to choose – and trusting the decisions we’ve made – is invaluable. I go into a bit more depth on my approach in the Services section. Please note that my services are 100% ONLINE ONLY.

What do you love most about your job?

There is a very specific type of joy that comes from facilitating others to arrive at lightbulb moments that help them work through challenges and strive for what they may have previously believed to be impossible in different areas of their life. Helping people connect with their values, their boundaries and their relationship to the Self can have a profound shift in how they experience and execute in life.

Why should our clients choose you?

I actually believe that not everybody is an appropriate fit, no matter how skilled a professional may be. Coaching is such personal and sometimes even confronting work. I very much prefer to have a quick chat with anybody BEFORE we both decide that working together is the best decision. Feeling comfortable, understood and like we are getting along well is of paramount importance in this space.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

All my services are currently virtual. I have been operating fully remotely for over three years (pre-covid) so the teething issues have well and truly been resolved long ago. Some people worry that it can take away from the experience, but many clients have actually found the opposite effect, as well as the convenience of being able to receive the service from your own home.

Your professional life coach will be able to advise you on the full range of coaching available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted life coach today.

You can have as many or as few life coaching sessions as you like. Many life coaches operate over the phone or via the internet so the sessions can easily fit around your schedule. Some people hire a life coach once every few months, some people have a session once a week.

Life coaching sessions will typically last up to an hour. Often after an initial assessment, sessions can be conducted over the phone, face to face, over email, via Skype/Zoom and occasionally through instant messaging.

During the session, your life coach will ask you a number of questions, such as what you want to achieve in life, what areas you're unhappy with and where you'd like to see yourself in the future. Although a life coach will work with you, it’s often up to you to challenge or reflect upon certain ideas you have to help you move forward with your life. You will never be forced to make any decisions you don't feel comfortable with and all sessions will be confidential.

Life coaching is focused on your present and your future. Coaching accepts your current reality and looks to improve your outcome moving forward. Life coaches are not health professionals and they do not diagnose you. By contrast, therapy focuses on your past and looks to delve into past actions and patterns. It is analytical but not action-oriented.

Most mainstream health insurance providers do not cover the costs of life coaching because it is not considered a mental health profession in the same way therapists and counsellors are.

Life coaches do not need to have any formal or academic qualifications but you may want to look for life coaches who possess an industry-specific qualification, such as the Life Coaching Diploma or Personal Performance Diploma (PPD).

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark, which shows you reviews from past customers who have used their life coaching services.

A life coach is a trained professional who aims to help and guide individuals to make, meet and exceed personal and professional goals. They support clients on a journey to rediscover their own strength and abilities. This can include excelling in the workplace, becoming happy and fulfilled at home, exploring your potential, managing health conditions and achieving life ambitions.

By harnessing techniques based on core psychological principles and intuition, life coaches empower clients and provide a toolkit of teachings to confidently face difficult challenges and overcome emotional barriers.

Life coaches can specialise in one of these particular areas of coaching: career coaching, executive business, group coaching, health and wellbeing, performance management, personal development, relationships, retirement, spiritual and youth coaching.

Rapport is one of the most important parts of life coaching. If you feel uncomfortable with your professional, you are unlikely to gain much from the session. It is advisable to get in contact before you book a session to meet your life coach so you can gauge how comfortable you are in their presence. It is worth talking to a few potential life coaches and ask questions.

Yes! As long as you have a strong internet connection, then your life coach can deliver sessions via an online video chat platform. Alternatively, it can be done over the phone.
