Kismet Counselling Services

Derbyshire

‘20 Certificate of Excellence

Due to the current situation I am currently focusing on providing telephone counselling, and face to face so that people can still access the help that is needed while still inside. I am also doing video, zoom calls. For a free, no obligation, 30 minute phone counselling session, please call 075•• ••••••. Following this session we will discuss price based on circumstances. Telephone sessions range from £25-£40 per hour and face to face from £40-£65 per hour. I am a counsellor based on the Derbyshire/ Chesterfield providing a wide range of counselling services and am able to provide support in order to deal with a number of different needs. I will come to you, providing counselling in your home or in another environment where you feel comfortable. My approach and style of counselling is tailored to match the needs of the individual. If you would like to see further information to see, reviews, please look at my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/omesh.sharma.9421,To contact me,alternatively look me up on LinkedIn, counselling directory. to see more information about the services I can provide, as I feel it is important for you to have all of the information available, and have the opportunity to ask questions before making a decision Personal development has many tools, ideas and techniques that can help us by first looking at our learnt behaviours and beliefs as children and from there in our formative years through young adulthood to adulthood. It can assist us by looking at our strengths and weaknesses. It can help us by self-awareness find new ways to see things more positively in our personal life, rather than focussing on negative as a default and how we interact and deal with people and situations on a daily basis, so we can make better life choices rather than staying trapped hiding behind the walls that we put up when we don’t know how to deal with people and or situations. As a counsellor I can work with you by looking at your past experiences and your present life and help you find better ways to combine the two to make your future life choices more balanced, effective and positive for you. In life we set goals but with the help of personal development we can open up more choices, ideas, feelings and look at the goals we set, are they realistic and why did we set them? We can then obtain deeper fulfilment and if we find that we have set our goals too low, we can open up a whole world of choices that we did not allow ourselves to look at or believe that it was possible or that we even deserved it. This maybe through fear, shame, being told your no good or a failure, or due to bullying. With support we can achieve so much with new set realistic goals, as we achieve our goals, we can set new goals and we learn and are on our way to a more positive life, career and relationships. I am happy to discuss any counselling needs a client may have, however I do have specific experience in the following areas: -Childhood trauma -Abuse -Anxiety -Anger management -Bereavement -Grief and loss -Depression -Self esteem -Self image -Life choices -Relationships -Family -Addictions -Rape -Sexual abuse -Exploitation Please see my LinkedIn profile https://www.linkedin.com/in/omesh-sharma-692696178 to view more information, reviews or to leave a review

What do you love most about your job?

For me this job is all about the interaction with people, and the building of therapeutic relationships with them. Counselling is not just a start and an end, it is an often complex journey, in which lots of in depth subjects can be covered. I enjoy getting to know each individual and unique client and supporting them through that journey.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Before going into counselling as a profession, I experienced its potential first hand as a client. Following a complex start to life and a serious breakdown, I eventually had the courage to seek help. I was fortunate enough to be enrolled on an intense programme of counselling, where I was supported to face past demons and develop skills and strategies in order to cope with life again and to progress. I cannot emphasise how much of a transformation those people bought out in me. I walked in broken, almost completely unable to function day to day, and after 3 years intensive support, became the person I am today.

Having seen first hand the benefits of in depth and structured counselling support, I have a deep level of understanding not only about how this works but how much it can help people. Speaking from experience, I know that in the most extreme cases, counselling can literally turn people around, provide hope where it seemed there was none before, and provide people with the opportunity to re-build their lives and allow them the opportunity to hope and believe again.

I am now a passionate provider of good quality, often in-depth counselling services.

Why should our clients choose you?

To me this will always be more than just a job. Having experienced trauma and been through counselling myself, I am now a passionate provider of good quality counselling and therapy. I have developed a series of ways of working in order to offer the most supportive environment possible in order for each client to be able to explore their issues and be supported in working through them.

Counselling FAQs

Your expert Counsellor will be able to advise you on the full range of services available and will be able to advise on what is most suitable. Use Bark to get free quotes and schedule an appointment today.

At your appointment, you will be encouraged to talk about your feelings and emotions with a trained Counsellor who will listen and support you without judging or criticising.
The therapist can help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes and find your own solutions to problems. However, they will not usually give advice or tell you what to do. The Counsellor might sum up what they understand you have been saying so that they can help you to form a plan of action.

Counselling can take place in a number of ways. These include:

  • Face to face session

  • Group session

  • Phone session

  • Email session

  • Online through live chat services or video conferencing software

You may be offered a single session of Counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.

It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your Counsellor.

You can be confident that any of the Bark local Counsellors listed will give you a reliable and efficient service to help you feel better.

You could look for Counsellors that are accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA) which means that they have met the PSA’s required professional standards to practise.

Before you choose a Counsellor, you could read testimonials and read details of the issues they can help with on their website.

You could also look at their profile page on Bark and check out reviews from past customers too.

Counselling can help with many issues. These include the following:

  • Mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or eating disorders.

  • Physical health conditions such as infertility.

  • Difficult life events such as a bereavement, a relationship breakdown or work-related stress.

  • Dealing with difficult emotions such as low self-esteem or anger.

  • Sexual identity issues.

  • Divorce.

  • Redundancy and work issues.

  • Phobias and fears.

Absolutely! Many Counsellors provide their services remotely via an online video call or the telephone. Not only is it more convenient, but it's also the preferable option for many people who would feel more comfortable holding the session from the comfort of their own home.
