Wellbeing is a combination of both physical and mental health, I therefore offer personal training and psychological coaching. The using these interventions simultaneously works well for health behaviour change, weight loss and exercise adherence. Although Personal training and exercise prescription requires a scientific approach, thoroughly understanding client needs, goals and expectations is psychological.

Brilliant gym and trainer! Have been going to Di for personal training since May 17, have now taken up a 12 months fit friends contract. Loving the training, the flexibility and results I am seeing. I feel I am pushed to do the best I can and beyond! Love the advantage of a personal trainer with maximum of 4 people in any one session. Great idea Di!

I reached out to Faye with some degree of trepidation - there was really nothing WRONG with my life and perhaps I just needed to learn to have more gratitude? But if that was the case, why did I feel stuck and sad?
My time with Faye helped me immeasurably, specifically in unravelling these unhelpful thought patterns and identifying the ways in which I might be self-sabotaging. She has such a lovely way about her that I would really look forward to our calls, knowing that I’d come out of every single one with a new tool, way of framing my situation, or just a little more mental space in which to live and breathe.
Thank you, Faye!

Ajay has an exceptional ability to provide an out of the box perspective that I have always found enlightening. By going through the process of structuring abstract ideas to enable future planning, we have been able to design a path towards various goals that has been extremely educational and helpful.

COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY I will work with you to explore your feelings and how your experiences shape your thoughts and actions. I hope you will gain a better understanding of what makes you, you. I will help you to find ways to reach your own solutions and relief from your distress and emotional discomfort. There may also be times when I could simply be that listening, non judgemental, confidential ear that you just don't have elsewhere. I have 15 years’ experience in counselling and have helped and supported many people over the years with various difficulties such as: Addictions – drugs, alcohol, gambling, etc Abuse - sexual, physical and emotional Relationship issues - break-downs, betrayals, affairs, separation and divorce Depression, anxiety, self-harm and suicidal thoughts Low self-esteem and low self-confidence Family issues Sexual identity Crisis management – for those times when you feel everything is crashing down on you I offer a no charge 30 minute face to face consultation, during which time we will discuss your needs and decide if we think we can work together - if I am unable to help, I will point you in the right direction. I understand it is often difficult to make that first step and if you are unsure whether you want or need counselling please contact me for a no obligation discussion. Please leave details if the phone is on answer phone. I aim to make things as easy and as relaxed as possible, and thankfully my clients say I do and hopefully you will too.
I love working with people and feel privileged to be part of a person's journey.
I understand how difficult life, relationships, decisions, feelings and experiences can be.
My mission is to guide you to find your own solutions to your difficulties and empower YOU to find relief from your emotional discomfort, pain and distress.
We will work together to achieve this by exploring your feelings and how your experiences shape your thoughts and actions, which will then enable you to recognise old patterns and start to change those that are no longer helpful to you.
"The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new."
- Socrates
I had an unwavering desire and drive to help people find their own solutions to their difficulties.....
WHAT IS COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY?
Counselling and psychotherapy are basically the same - treatment and support for people who are experiencing emotional and/or mental health problems.
Often called "talking therapies" as they rely on treatment through psychological means and not by medical interventions. Therapy enables people to process feelings and look at them from different perspectives.
During your counselling sessions, you’ll be encouraged to express your feelings and emotions. By discussing your concerns with you, I can help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes, as well as identifying ways of finding your own solutions to problems.
You are probably reading this because you are looking for help. I want you to know that counselling can be a powerful support for the changes you want to make in your life.
Even though you may have lived with these challenges up until now, or painful things may have happened in your life, you do not have to continue down the same difficult path.
It can be very empowering to share your worries and fears with someone who acknowledges your feelings and is able to help you reach a positive solution. I look forward to listening.
"People start to heal the moment they feel heard."
- Cheryl Richardson
"Your present circumstances don't determine where you can go, they merely determine where you start."

How much does Counselling cost?
Your expert Counsellor will be able to advise you on the full range of services available and will be able to advise on what is most suitable. Use Bark to get free quotes and schedule an appointment today.
What should I expect from my Counselling session?
At your appointment, you will be encouraged to talk about your feelings and emotions with a trained Counsellor who will listen and support you without judging or criticising.
The therapist can help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes and find your own solutions to problems. However, they will not usually give advice or tell you what to do. The Counsellor might sum up what they understand you have been saying so that they can help you to form a plan of action.
Counselling can take place in a number of ways. These include:
Face to face session
Group session
Phone session
Email session
Online through live chat services or video conferencing software
You may be offered a single session of Counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.
It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your Counsellor.
You can be confident that any of the Bark local Counsellors listed will give you a reliable and efficient service to help you feel better.
What should I look for when booking a Counselling session?
You could look for Counsellors that are accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA) which means that they have met the PSA’s required professional standards to practise.
Before you choose a Counsellor, you could read testimonials and read details of the issues they can help with on their website.
You could also look at their profile page on Bark and check out reviews from past customers too.
What issues can a Counsellor help with?
Counselling can help with many issues. These include the following:
Mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or eating disorders.
Physical health conditions such as infertility.
Difficult life events such as a bereavement, a relationship breakdown or work-related stress.
Dealing with difficult emotions such as low self-esteem or anger.
Sexual identity issues.
Divorce.
Redundancy and work issues.
Phobias and fears.
Can I get a Counselling Service online?
Absolutely! Many Counsellors provide their services remotely via an online video call or the telephone. Not only is it more convenient, but it's also the preferable option for many people who would feel more comfortable holding the session from the comfort of their own home.
