What type of counselling services do you offer?

At my practice, I offer lots of different types of counselling services – from individual sessions to group therapy. It all depends on what each client needs and what they’ll benefit from. Because a lot of my clients lead busy lives, I also offer online and telephone counselling if that suits their schedule better. Although I always suggest coming in for a face-to-face session now and then, as these are often very helpful.

What qualifications do you have?

To be a certified counsellor, you need to have a Level 4 qualification in counselling. This can be as a diploma, or at a degree or postgraduate level. I chose to go down the university route by undertaking a BSc Hons in Psychology & Counselling. This meant that I got a degree and was accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am now a registered counsellor with over 10 years of experience and have completed a number of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) modules.

What is the main reason your clients come to you?

Most of my clients have certain goals in mind when it comes to their therapy. Often they want to resolve issues which are causing difficulties in their lives. This may be problems in their personal relationships that they want help working through. It could be with their partner, family, friends, or work colleagues. Or they may want to develop coping mechanisms to help deal with their own mental health. But often these can interlink. For example, if a client is wanting help with their personal relationships, this often has a positive knock-on effect on their own mental health.

For me Ellie Lockhart is a 'Life changer'. I met Ellie out of the blue & she explained to me the basics of how the human memory works relating to traumatic experiences. When we met I had just finished 10 weeks of chiropractic work to correct a neck and spinal injury from a terrible childhood accident & was feeling a lot better after years of pain. I saw meeting her as more than good timing & everything she said- was explained well and made sense. Having also suffered from anxiety most of my life, I was keen to know if my accident had also cost me years of emotional and mental distress. So I asked if we could have a session. Ellie explained how the physical brain works so easily, I was immediately at ease with her. She is extremely kinda & empathetic and respectful. I trusted her immediately. In just a one hour session- which flew by- we conducted a very simple principle to reconnect the mind with the body. I discovered my trauma was caused by a far more recent incident - where my Photography business had been threatened by blackmailers. My fingers tingled during the session & I felt a genuine ease and joy come back to my life. TBH I had no idea I was in such a black cloud- just chugging my way through life- until after meeting Ellie. I can only say that my experience with Ellie - was profound and the process was NOT hard or upsetting. Its been a few months now, ringing in my ears has decreased and my wife says I laugh more and am generally more easy going and funny. Don't waste any more time- book a session with her PLEASE! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

What I appreciate about working with Levi is his dedication to clarity and his ability to redirect my focus to what is important and what is actually going on for me in different situations. He also has a fine sense of seeing where I'm at and whether what's needed is gentleness or a decent wake-up call.

Levi has helped my partner and I so much in such a short time. He is kind, honest and fair in all our interactions. He is very easy to open up to and we really enjoy his style of relationship counselling. It has not only benefited our relationship but also ourselves as individuals. Definitely recommend
