Chapelgarth Estate is a wedding venue like no other: an Edwardian house enjoying splendid views over the rolling Cleveland Hills, on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors it is the perfect venue for a country wedding with rustic glam. We have three licensed rooms for couples to choose from, including our beautiful Artist’s Studio, a stunning space, ideally suited for the legal wedding ceremony, seating up to 80 guests. The rooms can also be used to accommodate the drinks reception or can be set up to host the wedding breakfast. The front lawn and fields, overlooking breath-taking views, provide the perfect site for a country wedding and may be used as a marquee or tipi site accommodating up to 140 people. Couples may hire our venue for exclusive use for their wedding day only . In this case the bride will be given complimentary access the Bridal Bedroom for preparing for the ceremony from 10.00 am. Guests can arrive from midday and the party until midnight. Couples choosing to hire the estate for a two-night stay, can accommodate up to 17 overnight guests in our uniquely designed 8 bedrooms. With access to the house from the day before the wedding, they can oversee the hustle and bustle of the last minute preparations and enjoy a pre wedding dinner with family and close friends.

We have hired our venue for family gatherings for six years and our guests kept wanting to come back! Three generations gatherings left everyone from grandparents to grandchildren wanting more. Ladies coming here for hen weekends started asking us about hosting weddings; one guest who had had her hen weekend here came back two years later with husband, baby and friends.. Opening up as a wedding venue was just a natural step

You will feel immediately comfortable in our surroundings: the house is airy with generously sized rooms, but it is never daunting, so it will really feel 'yours' throughout your stay. The beautiful Yorkshire Moors hug our estate, providing couples with breath-taking views for memorable wedding photos
