Relationships are incredibly important, in fact, there is not one human being out there, that isn't in a relationship, even if it is simply with yourself. When we can identify and understand what our values are, inherited beliefs about ourselves and how to relate with one another, it is incredibly freeing. A shift takes place, from simply existing and trying every self-improvement tool on the shelf to freely enjoying relationships in every aspect of life. We have helped many people understand, and restructure, their self-beliefs, renew their zest for life and see marriages turn around. Where there is a desire to experience growth and transformation, together we can create a pathway for whatever situation you are in. We believe as you understand how you move and have your being, why you do the things you do / relate the way you do... the freedom to express yourself becomes more rewarding and the ability to silence your inner critic gets a whole lot easier. Relationships impact every facet of life... starting here, will improve and touch every part of your life!

What do you love most about your job?

I love helping people and equipping them to live life free of dis-ease and more in- tune with who they truly are.

What inspired you to start your own business?

My own personal journey! I wish I'd had someone a lot earlier on in life to help me.

I have been to counselors and therapists throughout my life and felt inspired to do something similar but a little different, which is why I've studied in many areas and chosen the role as a life coach so I can meet people where they are at understanding what it is you truly want to achieve.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have many years experience and have walked a very colorful life so can relate on many levels.

I am passionate about continually learning and engage with my own personal coach on a frequent basis so I can stay ahead of current social challenges.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, absolutely! I have found that this can work just as effectively with probably 70% of my clients now being online.

If you are considering working with me online, I would highly recommend finding a space where you won't be disturbed so we can connect via Zoom or another video calling platform.

Check out my website, many of the testimonials are from people I have worked with online.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

My online work has increased dramatically since Covid-19.

If you come to the office in Taupo, we have hand sanitizer and also the government QR code visible so you can be confident that any outbreak may be tracked if it were to be present in any of our clients or staff.

Therapist FAQs

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.

This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.

Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.

You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.

It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.

Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.

You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.

It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.

Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.

Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.

Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
