First Class Learning - Chiswick

Hounslow

At FCL Chiswick, we cater for students of all ages and abilities - from Reception to GCSE. Our math and English programmes are designed in the UK and aligned to the National Curriculum, making them relevant to your child's schoolwork. The Centre Managers and our friendly classroom assistants support your child's learning in maths and English, helping to build their confidence and knowledge as well as developing their independent learning skills. Every child that joins us completes a free diagnostic assessment with the Centre Managers, who are both qualified and experienced teachers. From this assessment, we create personalised maths and English programmes, tailored to your child's individual needs, with students moving on once they have consolidated their understanding of a topic. We also offer additional packages for students taking entrance exams, SATs and GCSEs. These packages focus on developing exam techniques and applying skills to exam-style questions, appropriate to your child’s chosen school(s) or exam board including completing relevant papers and receiving detailed feedback, alongside further time at the centre and support from our experienced staff. Please get in touch if you would like any further information about our Chiswick or Northolt study centres.

What do you love most about your job?

Both of us love watching the growing confidence and progress of their of our students. We work closely with our students, helping them to develop their understanding of the topics they struggle with. It is always rewarding to watch the moment they connect with the work and to see their confidence snowball from there.

What inspired you to start your own business?

We wanted to support students in a different way. In the classroom, we both encountered the swift way in which the curriculum is delivered, due to the demands on teachers to teach an extensive curriculum to ever-changing goalposts.

As a result, many of the fundamentals, that help students to access their work in school, are rarely revisited in a comprehensive way, leading to a loss of confidence and disengagement with their work.

We explored our options and found First Class Learning - allowing us to incorporate our years of teaching experience and resources with FCL's comprehensive maths and English programmes. Importantly, the word is aligned with the UK National Curriculum objectives, so we know we can offer targeted and relevant support to all learners - from Reception to GCSE.

We are also able to build the student's confidence at their pace, on a programme that is tailored to their needs, which ensures they fully understand a topic before moving on.

We find our work extremely rewarding and are proud to be part of the FCL network.

Why should our clients choose you?

- We offer a free diagnostic assessment, identifying your child's strengths and areas to improve.
- Friendly, supportive staff and welcoming learning environment.
- Our maths and English programmes are aligned to the National Curriculum.
- Our programmes are personalised to your child's needs.
- We support students from Reception to GCSE.
- We also support 7+, 11+, SATs and GCSE examinations.
