iReadingTUTOR, LLC.

We provide evidence based Reading and Writing Instruction utilizing the Orton Gillingham methodologies, programs such as the Wilson Intensive Reading Program, Barton Reading & Spelling. We use phonological awareness programs such as Heggerty and Equipped for Reading Success to assist with orthographically mapping the sounds to the letters. Students use phonics instruction to map sounds and letters, learn the 6 syllable types, morphology instruction- roots/bases, prefixes and suffixes. We work on reading at the decoding level. Then as students are able to sound out the words, they are able to comprehend what is read. Some students on the autism spectrum typically will need a language based program to visualize and verbalize as they read to create the symbol imagery. We also offer writing instruction utilizing certified Institute for Excellence in Writing instructors.

Seeing the academic and social-emotional growth in my students.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

iReadingTUTOR.com have been online for years. This is nothing new for us. Orton Gillingham specialists are highly sought after world-wide because we get results and there are so few qualified teachers. To meet the students needs we have been utilizing zoom technologies to reach our students.
