Ruth has been tutoring my 14 year old daughter for 6 weeks now and I'm beyond pleased with the outcome. Her confidence in algebra has improved greatly, she would always come home and explain what she has been doing in her tutor lesson (unlike school!) and we looked through the work she completed together. I will definitely be booking her in again with Ruth before her mock gcses.
PROFESSIONAL MATHS & ENGLISH TUITION. We provide professional tuition in English and maths for children aged 5-16 in preparation for SATs, 11+ and GCSE's or simply because they need to catch up. Success in learning helps to boost a child’s self-esteem and encourages a positive attitude towards learning. Andy and his team are amazing! The children come home happy and always telling me what maths sum or English work they did and are always eager to return! I would highly recommend Kip McGrath Winchester! I particularly like that I can drop the children off for over an hour and I know they are safe and getting quality teaching and they are actually learning and have Andy and his teams full attention!!

I took my 5 year old daughter here for a free assessment following her end of year school report. My husband and I were very pleased that we were given honest feedback by Howard, who was thorough and professional. We were dubious as to whether or not our daughter’s abilities might be played down to encourage us to pay for future sessions, but I am delighted that this was not the case at all. We really appreciated this honesty, and I would absolutely recommend the free assessment to get objective feedback on how your child is performing academically. I would definitely use I Love to Learn for any future tutoring for my daughter.

Hello Welcome to my new tutoring page. As I am sure you know, since schools have shut due to COVID-19 we are all feeling the pressure of not being in school. I am a primary school teacher and have been having an amazing year, continuing to support my students during the lockdown. I am looking to support student and parents in the up and coming months looking for tuition and extra support.
Unlike many private tutors, my background is as a successful, fully-qualified teacher. With over twenty-five years of experience as a primary school teacher and senior leader, working either face-to-face or online, I will provide a bespoke service that fully meets the specific needs of your child. My specialism is in working with the full Key Stage 2 age range (Years 3 to 6, ages 7 to 11) but I am also very comfortable teaching younger secondary aged pupils (Years 7 and 8, ages 11 to 13). I have considerable recent experience in successfully preparing Year 6 pupils of all abilities for their End of Key Stage Assessments (SATs) and ensuring that they are ready for the transition to secondary school. When face-to-face tuition is either not wanted or is unpractical due to the distances involved, I am very comfortable in working remotely and use Bramble as my platform for online tuition. This has been specifically designed with tutoring in mind and is simple enough for primary aged children to use effectively, yet at the same time retains great functionality. I always encourage parent(s) to join the first online tuition session in order that they can help me familiarise their child with the platform and work together to develop a plan to ensure that it works effectively for them.
Light bulb moments when I have helped a child who has previously been struggling with a concept or skill and then makes sense of it. Still priceless after all these years!
After 26 years of being a teacher and school leader, I felt in need of a change but knew that I still retained the passion I have always had for working with young people and helping them to develop into the best versions of themselves. Tutoring is a great way of achieving this and starting my own business gives me greater flexibility as to my working pattern.
In my long and successful career as a fully-qualified teacher, I have built up a wide range of highly relevant skills and knowledge that I am now pleased to be able to offer in a slightly different context. I also undertake to provide bespoke sessions that fully meet the needs of your child at a cost that is competitive in comparison with similar services.
Yes, using a platform called Bramble. This is designed for and is widely used by tutors. Its simplicity makes it suited for use by primary-aged children but it also offers a great level of functionality.
I am fully aware of the Covid protocols and am happy to wear a face mask when working face-to-face. Some of my clients have also asked to temporarily move online, which I have been happy to accommodate. I have received all three Covid vaccinations and am able to provide an up-to-date Covid Pass upon request.
