I've been tutoring for 8 years and have 4 years of experience teaching mathematics at high school. I have left high schools to focus full time on providing high quality Maths tutoring. My approach is always personalised, and I engage my students with their learning by connecting it to what they already know, as well as their real life experiences. I love learning as much as I can about a range of practical topics (including leadership, public speaking, time management, habit formation, and psychology), and share what I have learned with my students whenever an opportunity arises where I might add value into their lives by doing so.
I love connecting what my students are learning, with what they already know. I love to empower my students and shift them into growth mindsets. I love showing my students that they can excel in maths no matter what their history in the subject looks like. I love to learn, and I love to share what I have learned with people who can benefit from that learning.
I want to help students who want to learn. My passion is for empowering students and giving them the tools to succeed in their goals, whatever those may be. I love having my own business, because I have the freedom to negotiate expectations with parents, and focus on the goals of the students and parents wasting time on any unnecessary administration work.
I am devoted to supporting my students. When my students need help, I help them no matter how long it takes and no how many different approaches are required. As I get to know my students, I identify strategies to teach them more quickly and more efficiently. I will never give up before my students.
I am very proficient with technology. I have taught students from year 4 all the way up to year 12 (ext 2 Mathematics) online. I utilise screen sharing and OneNote in order to provide a quality education. I make use of whatever technology is available for my students.
