I help people feel better so they can be better. What I offer is a bespoke package that includes treatments as well as an educational process so you go home feeling better and know how to continue looking after yourself to maintain the benefits of a session. Unlike massage where you need to go back each time you need to relax. The sessions are very relaxing, fast and effective, pain free, no cracking or crunching of bones as it focuses on all the soft tissues, muscles, nerves, tendons, myofascia etc as the bones are controlled by them.
Laura Holt
I was skeptical, thinking body-mind coaching was a bit of nonsense. I won a session with Julie in a Raffle and am now officially converted!! She gave practical step by step hints and tips on how to help my tension, stress and relaxation levels in my every day work life and it has really helped. If you ever thought this sort of thing wasn’t for you TRY IT!

The Person-Centred Approach is a humanistic approach that deals with the ways in which individuals perceive themselves consciously rather than how a counsellor can interpret their unconscious thoughts or ideas. As a counsellor and psychotherapist I use this approach to understand an individual's experience from their point of view. As a counsellor and psychotherapist I positively value the client as a person in all aspects of their humanity, while aiming to be open, non-judgmental and genuine.
RalphS-19
I had counselling from Ralph for about 18 months. Ralph's approach to counselling quickly put me at ease and allowed me to work through various methods without being inundated with homework. At no time was I ever anxious about seeing Ralph and he allowed me to take things at a pace that suited me. By the end of the 18 months I saw Ralph more as friend then a counsellor and his advice and guidance continue to assist me everyday. I would recommend Rest assured Counselling to anyoneAndy

I worked with Laura over 6 weeks and the results were more than I could have ever dreamed of. I came with grief and issues over prioritising time to myself & always looking for the next big achievement. Through the sessions Laura gave me many tools and practices to help me regain my confidence in just switching off. She listened careful and never rushed what I needed to say and tailored everything to fit my specific needs. I have come away with a new sense of freedom & will forever be grateful. So pleased I took the step to do this. Thank you Laura xx

2020 was a bad year, I lost my best friend unexpectedly, was unhappy with work and being in a relationship where I couldn't rely on my partner at all. I wasn't happy with my life and feeling depressed. It took me a while to finally book counselling, although I knew I had to get things sorted ad move on with my life.
Haleema was amazing and a great choice, helped me to put things in perspective and reevaluate everything. From November 2020 to now (June 2021) my life has changed and I'm finally feeling comfortable where I am, still pursuing new things and to improve more and more each day. It's great to feel like myself again.
I qualified as a life coach 11 years ago, but what's made the biggest difference is being surrounded by fellow mentors, coaches and counsellors with an exceptional commitment to themselves, their families and becoming benefactors capable of helping the most vulnerable members of society. I want to help others because of the incredible ways I've been helped through challenges like.

I had 7 sessions with James which I found to be very helpful and informative. I am a Masters student coming to the end of my degree and James got me thinking about moving into my career. I was initially skeptical of mentoring/coaching but James knows his stuff and is a great professional. I really enjoyed our sessions. James welcomes critical thinking and some of the best discussions we had came from differing views. I found James to be empathetic, encouraging and very, very challenging! I got a real sense that James wanted the best for me in terms of my personal and professional development which is crucial for this type of client/professional relationship. James has been a very important part of my transition from student to young professional. Thanks a mil!

There is a lot of jargon used to describe therapy and its benefits. I simplify things and focus on how I can best help you. I work with adults, offering counselling and psychotherapy which are talking therapies. They can help people overcome pain from their pasts, feel supported through current challenges and develop coping strategies for the future. Prior to establishing my private practice in Salisbury, I was a counsellor for a service in Bath, supporting people with a range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, addiction, loss and relationship difficulties.

Specialist in speech-training, accent-moderation, presentation & interview skills; we can enhance personal brand/self-confidence and image for business and social purposes. We support people as they seek to improve their communication skills in spoken and written English. This has impacts in every aspect of life and may be especially useful in situations involving speaking to groups/ in public; telephone techniques; sales situations and approaches; getting a promotion or new job; building self-confidence in social, business and leisure situations. We offer a free Needs Analysis within the local area or assessment by Skype or telephone if at a distance. We will propose a personalised, one-to-one programme to help the learner to achieve his/her targets by negotiation and then price it to be affordable. There is no obligation to go further but our excellent success rate and testimonial-evidence (see www.xpresstrain.org.uk) will hopefully encourage you to begin this potentially, life-changing journey with my help.
The pleasure of seeing the expressions of excitement and pleasure on the faces of customers who have achieved their objectives! I most enjoy helping people and sharing my knowledge and experience with those who are keen to improve their communication abilities.
Having many years of experience and knowledge of English, inter-personal communication skills, performance skills and media as teacher, Head of Faculty, performer and enthusiast to share after moving away from a career in Education. I had occasion to experience the low quality of business presentations and the stress and nervousness of people called upon to speak in public at work, at weddings and funerals and for social occasions and knew I could dramatically help people to overcome their fears!
My qualifications include: English degree - Cambridge University [MAQ(Cantab)]; Postgraduate Teaching Certificate - Southampton University [PGCE]; Teacher's Diploma from The London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art [ALAM] and membership of The Chartered Institute of Management [MCMI] and others. I am very probably the widest and longest experienced specialist in this field (particularly lately for accent softening) in the surrounding region and people greatly enjoy our sessions, using my unique resources and, if they really commit to achieving change, they experience life-changing improvements including, for some, Government -endorsed exam certification of achievements for their CVs!

What should I expect from my Counselling session?
At your appointment, you will be encouraged to talk about your feelings and emotions with a trained Counsellor who will listen and support you without judging or criticising.
The therapist can help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes and find your own solutions to problems. Phone session
Email session
Online through live chat services or video conferencing software
You may be offered a single session of Counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.
It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your Counsellor.
You can be confident that any of the Bark local Counsellors listed will give you a reliable and efficient service to help you feel better.
What should I look for when booking a Counselling session?
You could look for Counsellors that are accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA) which means that they have met the PSA’s required professional standards to practise.
Before you choose a Counsellor, you could read testimonials and read details of the issues they can help with on their website.
You could also look at their profile page on Bark and check out reviews from past customers too.

Counselling can help with many issues. These include the following:
Mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or eating disorders.
Physical health conditions such as infertility.
