What do you love most about your job?

The obvious one is I love helping people, I love seeing them smile when they know they are healed and can live their life free of pain and trauma . I'm a great listener I feel I learn from my clients experiences who inspire me when they move forward. I love learning so if I see a gap or change in trends of what's needed I will study this to offer the best service to my clients. I love my job and best of all I get to meet amazing people everyday.

What inspired you to start your own business?

When I left University with a Behaviour Studies Degree I went to work in schools with children who had behavioural issues, as I was bringing my children up and needed to be home for them. I then moved on to volunteer as a ChildLine counsellor and to work in Young Peoples independent units with Young people in care , this inspired me as I didn't feel they were accessing the help they individually needed to suit their trauma and issue , they just had to fit into a box . There was a gap in them accessing help , this pushed me to study other modalities and to offer packages that could heal and move forward away from their trauma. I am passionate about my clients getting results that's why I have started the Best version of you as I feel with the right help you can be the best version of yourself . I have tried all of these modalities out myself , that's why I know they work and bring results. I offer a free 30 minute strategy call to discuss your needs and if your happy we can start working together.

Why should our clients choose you?

I offer a safe space for my clients to work with me in confidence , I am empathetic to their issues matching the modalities to their issues/phobias i guarantee speedy results .

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I can provide my service through Zoom or skype this I have found is less stressful for my clients as they have no need to rush to get to an appointment and can stay in the safety of their home . However if needed I can offer face to face Therapy.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

All of my Therapy sessions of late are offered on line.

Therapist FAQs

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.

This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.

Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.

You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.

It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.

Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.

You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.

It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.

Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.

Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.

Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
