‘19 Certificate of Excellence

I created Moxie Coaching for people who are feeling lost, stuck, indecisive, bored or unsatisfied. I want to help you discover what you want and need and more importantly, get you making steps towards living it. If you want more from your life, coaching is for you. Based on a foundation of honest conversation with someone who's properly listening to you, Life Coaching is about exploring where you are and becoming clear about where you want to be. It's then about closing the gap between the two. Through your process with me, you'll learn how to get to grips with the actual truth. We will deeply explore this: strip everything back so you can figure out who you are, what you really want and need. Together, we look at what's going on inside your head and what you can do today to start working towards making a change towards a better future for yourself and people in your world.

What do you love most about your job?

I love that life coaching is not a talking therapy, but a talking and walking therapy. It is not just about making people feel better. It is instead about committing to real, honest connection that helps people to understand themselves, empowering them to take steps that push the boundaries of their comfort zones, so that they can move towards their true desires. It's important to me to help you to feel better and also to help you take action to actually be better.

What inspired you to start your own business?

It's rare in life to have someone with whom we can be completely honest, feel listened to 100%, and by whom we feel accepted and never judged. I started Moxie for this reason: for people to be able to express their inner-most thoughts about themselves and the world, wearing no masks, free from judgement, and really be heard. Being part of someone's journey is a special, rare and unique thing, let alone a relief for them: to be accepted by someone who genuinely wants the best for them and who'll be there to see them through their journey of self-discovery.

Why should our clients choose you?

In a coaching relationship with me, you can expect to feel everything from challenged and accountable to energised, supported, inspired and excited. Be prepared to face difficult questions about the things you'd rather leave in the shadows. We will dance with the things in the light. All in service of you becoming the fullest, most alive and empowered version of yourself, ready and raring to achieve your goals.

I make a commitment to my clients to apply the same energy and commitment to your journey as you do. Coaching with me will lead you towards a life of more authenticity, peace, freedom and power, lived with fun. If this sounds like something you want to dive into, I can't wait to talk to you.

Your professional life coach will be able to advise you on the full range of coaching available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted life coach today.

You can have as many or as few life coaching sessions as you like. Many life coaches operate over the phone or via the internet so the sessions can easily fit around your schedule. Some people hire a life coach once every few months, some people have a session once a week.

Life coaching sessions will typically last up to an hour. Often after an initial assessment, sessions can be conducted over the phone, face to face, over email, via Skype/Zoom and occasionally through instant messaging.

During the session, your life coach will ask you a number of questions, such as what you want to achieve in life, what areas you're unhappy with and where you'd like to see yourself in the future. Although a life coach will work with you, it’s often up to you to challenge or reflect upon certain ideas you have to help you move forward with your life. You will never be forced to make any decisions you don't feel comfortable with and all sessions will be confidential.

Life coaching is focused on your present and your future. Coaching accepts your current reality and looks to improve your outcome moving forward. Life coaches are not health professionals and they do not diagnose you. By contrast, therapy focuses on your past and looks to delve into past actions and patterns. It is analytical but not action-oriented.

Most mainstream health insurance providers do not cover the costs of life coaching because it is not considered a mental health profession in the same way therapists and counsellors are.

Life coaches do not need to have any formal or academic qualifications but you may want to look for life coaches who possess an industry-specific qualification, such as the Life Coaching Diploma or Personal Performance Diploma (PPD).

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark, which shows you reviews from past customers who have used their life coaching services.

A life coach is a trained professional who aims to help and guide individuals to make, meet and exceed personal and professional goals. They support clients on a journey to rediscover their own strength and abilities. This can include excelling in the workplace, becoming happy and fulfilled at home, exploring your potential, managing health conditions and achieving life ambitions.

By harnessing techniques based on core psychological principles and intuition, life coaches empower clients and provide a toolkit of teachings to confidently face difficult challenges and overcome emotional barriers.

Life coaches can specialise in one of these particular areas of coaching: career coaching, executive business, group coaching, health and wellbeing, performance management, personal development, relationships, retirement, spiritual and youth coaching.

Rapport is one of the most important parts of life coaching. If you feel uncomfortable with your professional, you are unlikely to gain much from the session. It is advisable to get in contact before you book a session to meet your life coach so you can gauge how comfortable you are in their presence. It is worth talking to a few potential life coaches and ask questions.

Yes! As long as you have a strong internet connection, then your life coach can deliver sessions via an online video chat platform. Alternatively, it can be done over the phone.
