Q&As

I love helping others. By Allowing clients to express their feelings about their loss. My job is to validate their thoughts and emotions, to be an emotional sounding board, and provide emotional support during this process. Assist clients in creating a plan to move on with their life.

After the death of a close friend, I volunteered to work with CRUSE the bereavement charity. From there I became qualified and started my own business, although I still work with CRUSE.

It's not about the professional body you belong to, or the amount of qualifications you have. Although they are important. Can the counselor help their client feel safe and able to explore their own emotions,

The communication method is the decision of the client. I will offer my clients face to face, phone, video link or Email. Factors like distance have to be considered.

My preferable method of counselling was face to face, during the Covid 19 pandemic I have adapted to use remote methods. Both in my charity work and private. I have found that they work well.

Services

Bereavement is not only a very emotionally distressing experience but can leave you feeling confused, afraid and dislocated from their sense of who they normally are and how they normally respond.”
Working through your feelings with a counsellor can help you come to terms with your loss. I have worked with clients bereaved by sudden traumatic loss.

For the treatment of PTSD.
Trained by Dr Muse IARTT

Counsellor supervisor. I have advanced training with the National Counselling Society.

Counselling via a video link , gives the client the opportunity to speak to a counsellor, without having to meet them face to face.
Also known as remote therapy, this kind of counselling is a good solution for people who need counselling but cannot get to a counsellors office or those who prefer to keep in contact at a distance from wherever they are.
Online counselling can provide a valuable service to you if you require help but have shied away from it before, due to either emotional or practical reasons.
I must admit when Covid forced me into using remote therapy I was very sceptical to its effectiveness. I was surprised at how effective it was. This has also been endorsed by client feedback.
It also allows me to provide counselling at a very competitive price.

Telephone counselling can help with many of the same issues as face to face counselling, such as bereavement, anxiety, stress, depression, self-esteem and confidence issues.
