Professional Toastmaster, Master of Ceremonies, Event Host, Moderator and Facilitator as well as Charity Auctioneer in both the "In-Person" and Virtual worlds. He is additionally a voice artist specialising as an event "Voice of God" announcer and in the virtual world, he is an experienced Zoom event producer. For events to run smoothly and to time generally not only requires meticulous planning, but expert facilitation to make sure that delegates and guests are guided slickly and with ease throughout. James Hasler, The Man in the Red Coat is just such a facilitator. With a background in performing arts and customer service, he understands tact, diplomacy and delivery in such a way that he guides all concerned through any event he is in command of using warmth, in a personable style and when required with authority. As such events run to time and nobody is in any doubt as to what is going on. It is this among many things that made James Toastmaster of the Year 2019. So whether you have a fundraiser, quiz, formal dinner, or a wedding of any kind, James is just the person you need to make sure it is the success you wish it to be. "My aim is always to make the host feel like a welcome guest at their own event!" - " It is also unlikely that you will remember anything I have said, but you will remember how I allowed you and everyone else to feel."
Every event I do is different and so as such I never get bored of the process. The best bit though, is that I get to work with such a wide variety of people which not only enriches my life, but means I get to have fun at work.
Doing what I do is a bit like flying an aeroplane. Most of the time you are cruising on autopilot, but there are always take offs and landings that need to be controlled as smoothly as possible, not to mention the occasional turbulence. However, flying is exhilarating and so is doing what I do.
A chance meeting with a man called Dan! Following an informal conversation he sent me to work for him for a week in Germany, fronting a show. Whilst there people came up and asked me what I was doing the following week. And so it began.
With over 25 years working for someone else doing jobs that just paid my bills I came to the conclusion why don't I do something that I enjoy and earn money at the same time. I now get to choose who I work with and when I work.
Coming from a customer service and performing arts background I have the ability to adapt my delivery to just how you would like it. Many in my profession treat every job the same with regards to delivery. However, clearly a City dinner is not a wedding and should not be presented in the same way. I am tall, personable, warm, energetic and when required authoritative. I have the ability to pronounce and deliver difficult names with confidence and I am also a little younger than most of my peers, but not so young as to lack experience. I enjoy what I do and take pride in doing it to the highest standards. If I am smiling and happy, so will your event or training programme be. Added to all this I have just been awarded Toastmaster of the Year 2019.
There are certain services that I can provide online. I am an experienced Zoom producer and moderator ensuring that virtual events run smoothly and are presented well. During Covid I also ran several weddings online as well as AGMs, Award Ceremonies and even City Dinners.
I can also provide presentation skills training online if needs be, but if I am honest these are better done in-person unless the recipient specifically needs training for an online presentation.
Working as I do with many people at in person events I try wherever possible to minimise contact with vast numbers of people. This however, is not always possible given my role. However, I am fully immunised however.

DJ Nylon was amazing! Great communication leading up to the event even though we were quite last minute. His set is interactive as well which kept us engaged the whole time and also varied which worked well for a very diverse crowd! Highly recommend him!

Patricia was our celebrant as we got married this year in December; words truly cannot comprehend how brilliant she was. She worked with us really closely to curate the perfect ceremony that captured what my love story had been with my wife thus far, and the execution of it was second to none. Every Zoom call with Patricia to design the ceremony was an enjoyable experience, and she even prompted us with questions that neither my wife and I had thought of! She truly worked hard to ensure that no small detail was missed, and it all amounted to a wedding day that so many of our guests said was one of the best they had ever been to. So many guests felt that the ceremony was intimate, and really captured the love that my wife and I have for each other, and that couldn't have done without Patricia. Patricia also was our MC, and she did such a professional yet joyful job of keeping the day on track and organised so that neither I or my wife had to run around worrying about anything - we were just able to enjoy the day and be in the moment. To say that Patricia was the perfect celebrant is an understatement - if we had to do the day all over again, there is no doubt that we would ask Patricia to conduct the day exactly the same way. Thank you so much for everything, and we would thoroughly recommend her. She's worth it!
