Hello, I’m Sheila - an online counsellor and psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience in mental health. I work exclusively online, offering accessible, confidential support to clients across the UK. I’ve supported many clients through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, work or university stress, health concerns, domestic abuse, relationship difficulties, depression, and trauma. I also have a particular passion and specialist experience in perinatal mental health - including birth trauma, postnatal depression, fertility and IVF struggles, miscarriage, and the transition into parenthood. My approach is person-centred and integrative, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities to tailor our work to your unique needs. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s been troubling you, understand the roots of your difficulties, and look at what might be keeping you feeling stuck. From there, we can work towards meaningful, practical steps that help you move forward. Life can feel overwhelming at times, and you don’t have to navigate that alone. Reaching out for support is a courageous first step, and if you feel I might be a good fit, I’d be very happy to talk with you. Please feel free to get in touch for a no-pressure chat or to ask any questions.
I enjoy being a support to people as they work to overcome life's challenges and difficulties. Seeing them grow and flourish as therapy progresses is a truly enriching and fulfilling experience. I am constantly learning from my clients, as everyone has a unique background, world view and way of looking at things.
Having gained valuable experience working with a number of counselling services previously (One In Four Dublin, Woman's Trust, VCS Tallaght), I decided to open my own private practice and work for myself. I love having the freedom to offer remote sessions to clients on a schedule that works for both them and me.
I am passionate about my work as a counsellor and psychotherapist; my clients' wellbeing is very important to me. I draw on a combination of my studies and previous work in the field to help each client on their way to feeling better and/or making some postive changes in their life.
All counselling sessions are online, usually via Google Meet. Virtual sessions mean you can access therapy from the comfort of your own home and there is no commuting to factor in either.
