Helena is an experienced and versatile North London Naturopath and Iridologist (Information Officer for the Guild of Naturopathic Iridologists in the UK). I offer a wholistic and natural health service to my clients and have a a reputation for friendliness and integrity. I am fully insured with Balens Insurers and continue to update myself through courses, webinars and reading on all the modalities I practice. I am particularly interested in teaching you how to heal your body which it is designed to do once it is clear of toxins, your digestion is working as it should and you are eating and living in a style commensurate with your blood and metabolic type. A full and initial Naturopathic Iridology consultation can take up to 90 minutes and, following iris analysis, I prescribe a programme for you to follow. This may include a change of diet (sometimes removing common allergens), exercise and detox to free the lymphatic system and clear the gastrointestinal tract, and the appropriate diet, herbs and nutrition to build your immunity and augment your minerals/vitamins. Generally you will have a follow-up within 6 weeks to assess progress and fine tune the recommendations based on how you are currently healing. I have a great love of cleaning the system, having undertaken many cleanses (and fasts) myself and can coach you if you see that this will help you achieve your goals, whether they be reducing stress and depression, improving fertility and healing reproductive issues, IBS, arthritis, circulatory disorders, migraines and skin conditions. I am dedicated to assist you achieve a higher level of health and wellbeing to enable you make the most of every single day. Good health is our most prized possession, generating a positive mindset of confidence, enthusiasm, strength and joyfulness that can trigger a life of optimum achievement. Such vibrant health does not occur by luck or by chance. Like all things of great value, it must be tended and nurtured with care. This process can be supported with the proper help and guidance. What do you love most about your job?

Using natural healing methodologies without recourse to pharmaceutical drugs or intervention and seeing people get well.
I like to educate (and not medicate) so happy when clients are interested in learning about how to improve their health through diet, lifestyle, nutrition and naturopathic means - boosting immunity to self-regulate their health.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was a sickly child and vowed I would learn as much as I could so I didn't feel so helpless in the face of illness. It took my many detours, years and countries before I finally felt I was sufficiently healed and balanced myself to begin the journey of training in modalities I respect, i.e. Naturopathy, Iridology, Herbalism, Homeopathy, Healing and of course Reflexology.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am an experienced Practitioner who can bring a lot to the table. My emphasis is education and practical help and in my working life wth clients over the past 21 years will have been exposed to most health issues and disease so not surprised by anything. My aim is to have the client leave my premises empowered to begin their own healing journey, knowing that they haven't been given a 'one shot solution' to their problem, but are on the journey to cleanse, detox, nourish and heal themselves into the future.

Therapist FAQs

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.

This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.

Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.

You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.

It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.

Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.

You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.

It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.

Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.

Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.

Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
