One's health is one's wealth and being able to feel happy & painfree and then live life to the full is my goal for myself & for my patients. To that end I enable my patients to be physically and emotionally as well as possible. I am a trained Osteopath, Relationship & Crisis Line Counsellor as well as a Naturopath & Homeopath so I have a truly Holistic approach. I believe the body can heal itself if you can remove the physical & emotional blocks that prevent recovery. I teach people to relax, take charge of their lives, learn to love & respect themselves & always see the glass as half full. I also massage & manipulate peoples backs to remove pain & tension. What do you love most about your job?

I am a very lucky person as by nature I get a great deal of pleasure & satisfaction from helping and advising other people. This is what I do in my day job as an Osteopath & Stress Therapist, so I am very fortunate.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was inspired to start my own business as that's what you did as a new practitioner 40 years ago. There were very few job opportunities in those days as Osteopathy was in its infancy. It's hard in the beginning but there is nothing like being your own boss.

Why should our clients choose you?

Well after 40 years of practising I feel accomplished enough to call myself an expert! This enables me to make
a quick and accurate diagnosis which allows me to provide treatment that in most cases gets people out of pain and back to work/life very quickly. I say to my patients " come for treatment quickly and I'll get you better quickly [1-3 visits[ delay and it'll take 3-6 sessions!!

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I am happy to see people face to face or online. Whatever works best.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Hygiene & fresh air have increased plus no overlapping of patients. I am a health Care Practitioner so I'm always advising on health creating proceedures.

Therapist FAQs

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.

This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.

Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.

You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.

It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.

Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.

You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.

It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.

Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.

Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.

Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
