Edouard d'Araille

Edouard d'Araille is a educational consultant who has been teaching one-to-one, groups and classes for over thirty years. He specialises in preparing students for entrance exams and scholarships. He teaches students how to use the most advanced learning techniques - such as accelerated reading, memory retention skills (including phonetic mnemonics) and mind-charting - in order to learn more rapidly and more effectively. He offers assistance across a broad range of subjects, including English, Maths, Sciences, Humanities, Foreign Languages, Literatures and the Arts. Through the application of a powerful battery of learning techniques, he enables students to score higher marks with assignments and in examinations. He also teaches students how to perfect interview success techniques since the 'Interview' - both in-person and online - has become a vital determining factor oif the academic future of many students seeking places at colleges, at all ages (pre-school to post-doc). "The incorrect use of language across almost all subjects - although in many different ways - is one of the key factors that causes students to lose marks in assessments and exams. Fixing this often puts a student 50% closer to passing (or simply scoring higher grades in) a subject. Using English accurately is a deciding factor in the majority of qualifications at all levels, from the early Key Stages, through to GCSEs, BTECs, A Level, Degrees and Post-Graduate courses - therefore improving it is integral to all my teaching." - Alumni of Oxford University and Honorary Fellow at the Academy of the Third Millennium - Edouard d'Araille has achieved a 100% Pass Rate with all students he has been requested to teach. He teaches students from all nations, races, creeds and needs, with an equality of approach that ensures that all his students see the same uplifts in their academic success. "I guarantee all students to improve their understanding of the subjects they are studying and their abilities to express their thoughts on those subjects in writing - how to write 'The Essay' has always been an important part of writing but it has now become a lost art. It is in this area that I find myself helping students more than any other. Sometimes a student can have the clearest view possible on their subject, yet still not be able to frame their simplest thoughts easily in words. From single-page answers to 25,000 word dissertations, the principles of effective writing are always the same and reteaching the art of Essay-Writing right now accounts for over half of the teaching I am being asked to engage in!" What do you love most about your job?

I love teaching because it is such a real way in which I can share my learning with others. I always loved learning, ever since I was first in school. I know that some teachers do put students off learning, and I feel that this is a shame. Learning can be so enjoyable and nothing is better than teaching someone and seeing the glint of enthusiasm in their eyes - the joy of learning new things. That is perhaps what I love most about teaching people. Every experience can be potentially so rewarding.

What inspired you to start your own business?

My fellow students at school, some of whom needed help with the subjects they were studying, are the ones who inspired me to start teaching. First, I helped students with Chemistry, English, Religious Studies, Music, French, Philosophy - and it just went on form there. I realized that what most people have a problem with is the learning process itself. I studied the skills of Reading, Memory, Thinking and Writing for many years - and in the end I have written guides covering each of those areas. I was inspired to start teaching professionally out of a desire to make studying easier and more enjoyable, especially to give students the satisfaction of being able to attain higher grades and to accomplish more. My pupils have always been my real inspiration.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am not going to try and convince any of you to learn with me as opposed to the other tutors available on Bark. I am sure there are many inspiring teachers and some of them may be the perfect fit for you. If, however, you find that you need a special degree of attention helping out with the learning process itself and you are eager to read better, memorize more easily, think in a sharper way and write more accurately - then, perhaps, I may be the teacher who you are looking for. If you want to enjoy the learning process more and get on top of your exams (not let them get on top of you!) then I think that I will be able to help you. I want to assist you in 'Ace'-ing your subjects and outperforming every level that you thought you were capable of. Choose me if that's what you want!

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I have been teaching online for over ten years and I find that Skype and Zoom are both suitable platforms in order to teach remotely. However, if there is another App that you would like to use in order to teach you, then I would be very happy to download it and see if that works well. Teaching online is a very successful way to work as it is so easy to share links and resources and to engage in a one-on-one dialogue with my students. I have taught single pupils and group lessons online and these have been just as rewarding as teaching in person. I teach pupils as far away as China and Brazil - and as close as Leeds and Shrewsbury. At present, due to the Coronavirus Restriction in the UK, I am only teaching pupils online.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

As stated in my previous answer, I am currently only teaching pupils online as this is a measure that has been prescribed by the government. As soon as restrictions life, it is possible that tutors will be able to teach lessons in person once again. National and Regional news will update regarding this.
