How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?

A healthy diet is absolutely fundamental to overall health and well being. A poor diet that lacks proper nutrients means that many of the population go around with undetected nutritional deficiencies which cause them to feel sub-optimal and not understand why.
Sadly we live in a world geared up to make you obese very easily and diseased pretty easily too with the exposure to toxins and pollutants all around us.
That is why I am so passionate in what I do as I want to educate people on how to avoid this and lead a healthy life.

What do you love most about your job?

I love more than anything seeing results in my clients and receiving positive feedback on how they feel better, have noticed a difference, their confidence/ energy/ skin/ weight has improved!
I know that if my clients follow their plans then they will reap the rewards and notice huge improvements in their health.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I want to be able to provide a service where the patient is treated as an individual, each case is unique, there is no 'one size fits all' approach.
I want all my clients to feel heard and understood which is why we have an hours consultation to dig deep and find out the root causes of the problem.
I felt there is a lack of this type of service in Nottingham which is why I wanted to start my own business.

Why should our clients choose you?

Clients should choose me because I am a registered Nutritional Therapist. I have a BSc in Nutrition from Nottingham University and a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy from The College of Naturopathic Medicine.
I have a wealth of experience in dealing with a variety of clients with a variety of issues such as gut problems/ IBS, weight loss, hormonal issues, skin conditions, autoimmune diseases and much more.
I have a clinic but I do offer Skype consultations and home visits as well.

Your specialist will be able to advise you on the full range of services available and will be able to help you select the best treatment for your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a specialist today.

Dietitians are the only health professionals regulated and protected by law. Registered Nutritionists can provide evidence-based advice and information about food and healthy eating. Nutritional therapists provide alternative treatment, based on the idea that the body needs 'healing' and 'correcting'.

  • Credentials - Find a specialist that has the credentials to support your personal needs.

  • Experience - Ask how long your Dietitian or Nutritionist has been practising and look up their background.

  • Gimmicks - Check your specialist is not supporting an unsuitable diet brand or supplement.

  • Right fit - Make sure they are upfront in the areas they specialise in and are able to make referrals if your needs are outside their comfort zone.

The minimum requirement for a Dietitian is a degree in Dietetics or a related science degree with a postgraduate diploma or higher degree in Dietetics. Nutritionists should have attended a course which is accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN).

Before you choose either a Nutritionist or a Dietitian, you could read testimonials and read reviews on their website. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and read reviews from past customers too.
