I am a qualified personal trainer who holds a sports science degree and holds a general passion for helping people to achieve their dream body. We all know qualifications aren't the be all and end but it's also the experience that matters. I have been training myself before it was legal for me to join a gym (12 years) and since then I have trained myself by using a variety of training approaches such as endurance training, strength training, crossfit, plyometrics and HIIT which has all helped me to continuously better myself both mentally and physically.
After seeing results on myself I started sharing my passion for health and fitness by helping others achieve their goals through my personal training programmmes. I noticed from experience people were signing up to gyms but not using it as they were unsure what to do in the gym. I started offering a range of personal training services such as one to one, group based, outdoor based and home workouts. I have incorporated a variety of training methods into my clients programmes such as cardiovascular endurance, resistance training, flexibility training, power, strength and speed training which have been proven to develop clients body composition (fat loss) cardiovascular fitness and lean muscle mass.
I ensure all clients have a personalised training programme which are tailored to their needs and goals and are continuously monitored to achieve consistent progress. I believe it's always important to monitor and continuously change what we do because without change you won't see any changes!
Depending on your goals a range of creative exercises will be used as I believe creativity and variety is what makes exercise fun and if it is not enjoyable you will become demotivated. For example instead of running for 30 minutes to burn extra calories i will use HIIT( high intensity interval training) to achieve the same results in a smaller amount of time which will also promote lean muscle mass, in turn increasing our resting metabolic rate ( how many calories you burn sleeping all day).
I use a holistic approach as it is not just exercise that helps us achieve our exercise goals but also nutrition and general well being which I also offer advice on. Nutrition plays a big part therefore nutritional programmes are also provided alongside exercise programmes. I am different to other personal trainers as I will build a professional client relationship with you where I will be on hand at all times when needed ( motivational, knowledge).
