What do you love most about your job?

I love helping people become more aware of who they are and transform this into their daily life. I feel my character with a non judgemental approach lends it's self well to helping people as I am easy to get on with. I take great fulfilment from people developing themselves and moving forward in their life. I am passionate about people being happy in themselves, feeling balanced and living their purpose.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I am a self motivated person who likes to be self sufficient. Looking back from a conversation in my youth with my Dad a seed was sown. I knew that doing something for myself was where I wanted to excel in life and running my own business was a good way to do that. I also used to watch Flying Start (Dragons Den style business program) and had an interest in creating something, I just didn't know what at the time. After finishing university I worked in the Insurance/Finance sector doing something that was not me whilst doing things that I was passionate about such as Music Promoting and dj-ing, this made me realise there is another way that suits my persona. My Mum unfortunately was diagnosed with Huntington's Disease and this inspired me as it made me reflect on life and to be grateful for what we have and do our best in life. I dared to risk and left my job with no job upon return as I went travelling around Thailand where I planned my new life in Music and wellbeing. From this inspired period for different reasons Broad-minded was born 19 years ago. I had a Coach at the start of this journey and she helped me go on to set up my business with the Prince's Trust. I also saw a reflection of me in my coaching session and I knew from this day that I would become a coach as I enjoy helping people. I went on to become a Learning Mentor some years later and then a Coach.

Why should our clients choose you?

Due to my life experiences such as running my own business, my roles in workplaces/education, exploring through travel, losing my Mum to a long illness and volunteering/working in community settings I have a variety of perspectives of life. I also have great empathy skills and with having experienced difficult periods in my life this has further helped me show compassion and understanding. I am a previous Young Entrepreneur Winner for Cheshire, Warrington for the Enterprise Agency, I have my Certificate in Professional Coaching Practice approved by the International Coaching Federation (ACSTH) and I have plenty of experience in life at the ripe age of 46.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes I can provide online via Zoom or face to Face around the Chester, Warrington and Manchester area.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Appropriate distance will be kept in face to face meetings and where there is sufficient ventilation.

Your professional life coach will be able to advise you on the full range of coaching available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted life coach today.

You can have as many or as few life coaching sessions as you like. Many life coaches operate over the phone or via the internet so the sessions can easily fit around your schedule. Some people hire a life coach once every few months, some people have a session once a week.

Life coaching sessions will typically last up to an hour. Often after an initial assessment, sessions can be conducted over the phone, face to face, over email, via Skype/Zoom and occasionally through instant messaging.

During the session, your life coach will ask you a number of questions, such as what you want to achieve in life, what areas you're unhappy with and where you'd like to see yourself in the future. Although a life coach will work with you, it’s often up to you to challenge or reflect upon certain ideas you have to help you move forward with your life. You will never be forced to make any decisions you don't feel comfortable with and all sessions will be confidential.

Life coaching is focused on your present and your future. Coaching accepts your current reality and looks to improve your outcome moving forward. Life coaches are not health professionals and they do not diagnose you. By contrast, therapy focuses on your past and looks to delve into past actions and patterns. It is analytical but not action-oriented.

Most mainstream health insurance providers do not cover the costs of life coaching because it is not considered a mental health profession in the same way therapists and counsellors are.

Life coaches do not need to have any formal or academic qualifications but you may want to look for life coaches who possess an industry-specific qualification, such as the Life Coaching Diploma or Personal Performance Diploma (PPD).

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark, which shows you reviews from past customers who have used their life coaching services.

A life coach is a trained professional who aims to help and guide individuals to make, meet and exceed personal and professional goals. They support clients on a journey to rediscover their own strength and abilities. This can include excelling in the workplace, becoming happy and fulfilled at home, exploring your potential, managing health conditions and achieving life ambitions.

By harnessing techniques based on core psychological principles and intuition, life coaches empower clients and provide a toolkit of teachings to confidently face difficult challenges and overcome emotional barriers.

Life coaches can specialise in one of these particular areas of coaching: career coaching, executive business, group coaching, health and wellbeing, performance management, personal development, relationships, retirement, spiritual and youth coaching.

Rapport is one of the most important parts of life coaching. If you feel uncomfortable with your professional, you are unlikely to gain much from the session. It is advisable to get in contact before you book a session to meet your life coach so you can gauge how comfortable you are in their presence. It is worth talking to a few potential life coaches and ask questions.

Yes! As long as you have a strong internet connection, then your life coach can deliver sessions via an online video chat platform. Alternatively, it can be done over the phone.
