How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?

In short - through consultation with the client. There are various elements and components of menu creation that must be adhered to in order to create the perfect dining experience for the client. It is therefore pivotal that during the process of menu creation, the correct consultation process occurs, in order for the needs of the client to be met. It is then lies with the skills and experience of the chef to implement the clients ideas into the menu, to perfect and refine the menu to the clients desired satisfaction.

What do you love most about your job?

I love to create wonderful flavours with the freshest of ingredients. I do not enjoy cooking one specific ingredient, but alternatively derive satisfaction in the ability to be able to prepare, cook and present ingredients to absolute perfection. And this, is the reason I love this.

What inspired you to start your own business?

A passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients led me to begin my own business. I had grown somewhat tired of operating under under cumbersome and dated chefs. As such, I decided to spread one's professional wings in attempt to further extend my professional career, utilise the skills I had accrued in kitchens over the years and provide a professional service to clients.

Why should our clients choose you?

Clients should choose me if they are looking for an honest, dependable and reliable service that takes pride in doing a good job. Using only only the freshest, organic and best ingredients we provide a tailored service in order to provide the greatest experience for the client.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Consultancy services by all means could be conducted online. However, functions, weddings or nay other services naturally must be done in the more traditional manner.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Hygiene and food safety should naturally be of paramount importance to any chef. All vaccinations available at the time of writing have been taken. All chemicals for cleaning will be included in the service provided, as well as adhering to all relevant legislation with regards to Covid-19; including face masks and social distancing. These measures will be implemented until all such restrictions have been officially removed by the government.

Catering FAQs

Expand all

Your expert caterer will be able to advise you on the most suitable menus and service.

It is important to know the following before deciding on a catering company:

  • Event Specialists - Many caterers handle certain types of events on a regular basis, such as weddings and corporate events.

  • Different cuisines - Caterers might specialise in different kinds of cuisine. Some caterers may provide a fine dining experience while others excel at barbecues that suit company picnics.

  • Special requirements - If you have special requirements for the food or a specific menu in mind make sure your caterer is happy to meet those requirements.

  • Venue - Your gathering might be taking place at someone’s home, a venue or outdoors. It can be helpful if your caterer has worked at the venue before.

  • Tastings - Ask for a tasting to make sure the food is of a high standard. Most caterers will prepare one for you at no charge, allowing you to assess the quality of their cooking before you hire them.

You could look for caterers with a foundation degree, higher national diploma or degree in Professional Cookery and Culinary Arts.

Before you choose a caterer, you could read testimonials and see pictures of their food on their website.

You could also look at their profile page on Bark and read reviews from past customers, too.
